Do Wild Babies Mature?
I stole a wild Kairuku from it's parent and I'm unable to imprint it.

If I have the baby at my base and allow it to mature before knocking it out to tame, will it mature?

To tame a baby, you have to make it orphan by killing their parents. Then after, juste press "E" next to the baby to tame it, and feed it with appropriate food for maturation.

The wild babies that you claim will instantly start maturing. You have to give them food right away. You have to imprint them right away. Their imprint is far easier and faster than normal babies.

It was just a random baby walking around so I didn't orphan it.

I orphaned the one I found, and still couldn't imprint it. Gonna try the knock out method I guess.

The baby Kairuku are the same as in the original ARK and can't be imprinted like the new baby dino's can.

I had the same issue. I killed all Kairuku around the one I wanted but it still wouldn't let me imprint. I currently have it in my base to see if it finishes maturing.

I was able to claim a baby rex with the parents roaming nearby. Of course they immediately turned around and murdered the poor thing.

I also claimed a dilo the same way, snagged it from its parents. It has 0% imprint for some reason but has been vigorously protecting my cabin.

Seems they have patched the Kairuku and we can claim them now?
