Opinions on this water cooler for 4080 16G OC GPU..

Looking for a water cooler for my GPU. But thought I would get advice and see consensus first lol

EDIT - They need to bring back all the forum sections. Every thing in one place makes it impossible half the time to get any answer on anything..

Do you need it? You probably won't benefit anything... RTX 4080 runs cool, can keep boost clocks on air at good temps. I have an EK Vector2 block on my RTX 4080 founders. I don't think I am getting anything better from a clock perspective as the RTX 4080 is voltage restricted.

Dont NEED it, but want it. My temps on all epic and RTX on and 4k "getting 60FPS" puts me at 75 to 80C. While thats not too hot. I do not like going over 70C. Have burned out a few GPU's in past and dont want to even risk it with this card. Plus I intend to SLI and get another 4080. So internal heat will go up then as well.

So its not really for performance. Its just for heat reason.

Check out DerBaur's video on that cooler first. Can't go wrong with EK blocks.

Ok the EK is higher price point.. but if works better and more reliably then be worth it.

I used to custom water cool my rigs but since they made the 4090 aircooler the size of a truck I cant ever get it above 65 - 70C so I just AIO my CPU and call it good.

I always used EK parts.

Ah so another for EK brand. Sounding like direction I will follow. And ya even with ark I do get much over 78 at highest... Thats still 8C higher then I like to allow. And want to ensure I get good quality cooler. So EK looks like it. Now as I dont want to install it myself this time... Need call shop and see if they can do it with warrenty. Probly need buy from them.. so probably be bit more then amazon ;-/


Though if 4090 FE come down in price I might just grab that. And save on water cooling. But if gets over 70C.. Ill be back looking at coolers lol

Yeah I can get the temps down even lower if I crank fans up and undervolt but Im good with 70C
