How can you actually run this game?
I have a 3060, not the greatest but still good enough to run Cyberpunk at Ultra with FPS to spare. I cannot even load the GRASS texture in this game, and have 20FPS if I'm lucky on Low and Medium settings, with RTX set to Ultra Performance, or Balance. The screen tearing, is UNFIXABLE, and the flickering shadows from the absolutely insane amount of foliage this game thinks it needs has legitimately given me a migraine. What, is, this, mess? (also I fatal errored like 7 times, just bringing my settings down in an attempt to get more FPS)

The problems seem to be hardware-specific, some people are doing ok with average pc's, others are doing badly with high-end pc's.

After changing some graphic settings in game you have to restar to take full effect

turn off clouds
lower resolution scale
put graphics on medium

Hmm. Well with 3000 series graphics cards, graphics presets they can only be High or Lower settings. RTX I just switched to auto from balance, but my cpu is high end. Things seem alright and no crashing

You basically just need to get lucky

I have a 3060 ti and I just undervolted and run on medium everything. Gets well over 60fps consistently. Usually around 75 to 85fps.

I'm also not using DLSS. And I've noticed if I lock my fps in game to 60, it tears worse. So I keep it unlocked.

I have a 5700xt and it runs fine, i dont need 120fps or epic settings, it looks better on medium settings for me than ASE did on High settings. I'm having fun actually, my problem is my save file keeps getting corrupted.

im running a 3080TI having no issues with fps running right around 125-150 only problem is about every 15 min games crashes

I tried that. Multiple times, made no difference. I actually seemed to get worse FPS and performance after lowering some settings and re-starting. Though that could have been due to the constant crashes.

Use the console command "grass.Enable 0". It gets rid of the cosmetic grass that does nothing but lower frames. The best one I have found is "r.VolumetricCloud 0" it gets rid of the new clouds and gives me an extra 15-20 frames.

RTX BALANCED or QUALITY work fine, the others do not seem to in ANY game so far. i'd only used BALANCED because if you want quality, turn textures to epic and balanced will look and run better.

don't mess with settings randomly, just use the medium graphics preset with foliage on medium and make sure global illumination is epic and i'd leave textures epic too, but high looks great. turn off motion blur and bloom and if you can't run that at 60fps in 1080p with a computer that's less than 5 years old, then your rig is jacked up and you don't know enough to realize it. MOST people's computers are running like crap, stuff eating up resources, antivirus/windows defender running unchecked in the background, people who don't know browsers can soak up a lot of resources, steam settings, pc settings, graphics card settings, case temps, etc

the game itself isn't the problem for the 1% of people with better computers than i have
2070 super
nvme
32gb RAM
ryzen 3800
1080p.
everything is 4-5 years old and i'm getting 45+ fps, zero stutters and no trouble with crashes. i'm even using mods and still, runs better than ASE did.

fix your stuff, figure out what is happening, learning something about your "hobby"

Don't know if this was already mentioned but this worked for me.
Tried driver rollbacks, disabled services, tweaked in game and nvidia settings, etc. Here's the fix i found after looking at sys logs and seeing this:

The description for Event ID 0 from source nvlddmkm cannot be found. Either the component that raises this event is not installed on your local computer or the installation is corrupted. You can install or repair the component on the local computer.

Found a related forum that said to disable HAGS.
In win 11
Go to windows settings - Display - Graphics - Default graphics settings
Turn off hardware-accelerated GPU Scheduling

Haven't crashed since

4090RTX
Ryzen 7900x
32GB DDR5

RTX 3060 and I5 9600, 32gb mem and on an ssd here and getting 50-60 fps.

This helped me fix most crashes
