What do i do about the alphas?

I swear it wasnt this bad in ASE, but there are alpha creatures EVERYWHERE! Ive killed half a dozen alpha raptors the past 2 days and just a little bit ago, i killed a level 75 alpha carno, and i come back to base only to find a level 85 alpha carno. I nearly lost 2 level 100 rexes and a level 200 spine to the level 75, i cant win against the level 85.

What do i do about this guy?

Lead him on a long wild goose chase out of render range of your base, then ghost him.

75 lat, 73 lon. Around there. Its just north of one of the southern easy spawn zones.

I also have the feeling it got worse compared to ASE. Especially the places where they show up. One was standing there looking at me while my character woke up at the very beginning of the game. I had to give up my hut twice because alpha raptors were interested in the plot and it was directly at the beach of an easy spawn zone.

its not to say i dont enjoy the new difficulty and the challenge, but i think they took it too far in the south zones where its supposed to be easier. When I wasnt being killed by raptors or troodons, i was either freezing to death or overheating due to temperature changes that can sometimes be over 100f difference between night and day. This was all before i even got a thatch structure down.

And now theres alphas everywhere. If i was further north i wouldnt care but im just trying to get a decent base down, and i dont have the tames needed to fight the high level alphas ive been getting around here.
