tooltips suddenly don't work

when I want to craft something, and hover over or select, there should be a popup that tells me what the name of the thing is and what I need to craft.

and in inventory, it tells me what it is. the name and such.

but now suddenly it does nothing. I get no info.

this happened mid-game and I have no idea what did it. I restarted, then even rebooted PC, but nothing worked

any ideas?

Had the same issue. Hover over the item and press G, should toggle tool tips back on.

As the comment said below, G is the hotkey. There is a symbol in your inventory in the left panel on the top right. It is a text bot. That is the tool tip button that can be toggled there as well.

I wonder what usecase is there for something like that? it's one of those "features" that probably produces 1000 times the trouble than it does something useful...

(in Path of Exile there's a key that hides all loot... I guarrantee this caused people no end of trouble. I had 2000h in the game and did not know it was a thing and thought it was a bug... but I had just pressed that key (I think Z or Y) by accident ... stuff like this should NEVER be a simple key, but always a key combination. that way you never accidentally press it)

I had same issue with pop up for while. Till some one mentioned it on ASE lol So I know your pain.
