A lot of the performance issues are due to the sky effects. There are plenty of posts and guides on this, but what I've seen work at the very least is pressing ` and typing in r.volumetriccloud 0
Don't forget to force vsync as well, as there's no setting for it (r.vsync 1)
Yes, unfortunately these settings are reset upon loading in. I'm not sure if you'd be able to edit one of the .ini files to make it persistent, I'll give this a shot and let you know.
Sucks because i have like 8 commands i gotta type before i start playing, minor visual things like shadows and cloud stuff, really would appreciate it if i could make the game load with them on so i cna just start playing.
Much love and appreciation!
Yeah I can't figure this out. Unreal Engine loads client settings in an odd way, and modifying the sky effects might be loaded in an even odder way.
I believe launch options have to be setup by developers, so we can't just throw whatever into there. -nomansky used to be a very popular one and doesn't seem to disable the things I want disabled.
Oh well. Bad optimization will do that.
