Why is this game so expensive in argentina?

It legits cost less in the US, and mind you Argentina have 140% anual inflation, how do you decide to put a game for 40 dollars (plus the 100% taxes we pay for it on top of the final price) when a normal salary in argentina is 140 dollars, how?

They have negated the regional prices for this product which is something that I had pointed out here: https://steamcommunity.com/app/2399830/discussions/0/3881599433107691706/?ctp=6#c3881599433108063076

My 2c? They could not care less about any geographical economical circumstances because they themselves are "suffering" financially.

Regional pricing was created with that idea in mind, its one thing to live in a country where you make 2000, 3000 usd per month to buy a 60 dollars game, but how do you pay 60 dollars in a country where you make 140/200 per months? on top of living, renting and food, how are you able to afford it? its even more insulting that this isn't even a new game, its the same game as before with the same problems just in UE5, so regional pricing is over and so its what valve wants, to protect the devs, not the consumer, which in poor countries will lead to piracy

I know, things are tough and I certainly feel for you over there, it sucks. It is also the reason why Valve had implemented regional price recommendations in the first place. The developers/publishers are not bound to follow them though.

No it's not Valve that adjusted the price, the launch included regional prices which Wildcard/Snail then changed to the dollar USD equivalent for each country, they want their $40 period.

Minor adjustments, mods, bought texture packs and UE plugins aside, yes it's quite a thing to be honest... To me, it's just corporate greed at its finest when considering they had made millions out of the initial sales of Ark SE but spent the money on everything other than the game its self, for instance, this "remade" game has the same bugs as SE and even more :-)

Edit: If you take a look at the link on steamdb and look up other games or even Ark SE you will see that regional pricing is still in tact. Silly huh?

I will say though that not having regional pricing helps prevent the G2A (wow even G 2 A is considered a bad word and got censored) websites and similar who abuse those markets for thier own benefit

So don’t blame me or perhaps the publisher for this decision maybe blame the reasoning behind the fact is there no regional pricing, if the case is because of the key selling websites that is who you should blame for ruining it for everyone.

because you can restrict product to being able activate it only in specific regions

there isnt any reasoning like that for no regional pricing
because you can restrict product to being able activate it only in specific regions

regional pricing is pretty common thing

But you can fake your location easily over the internet to bypass that region locking people have been doing it for years.

We don’t know the real reason for their decision on the matter and we never will.

People still sell keys online for region restricted games! There’s still a black market.

If it didn’t work no one would be selling keys.

Of course it’s highly a ban-able offense that’s not in question doesnt keep people from breaking the rules
