XBOX Dedicated Server?? (gamepass)

Edited to clarify player and non player dedicated server options

Seeing as how we are basically forced into buying a second copy or renting for a dedicated server (there appears to be some work around). At one point I used my Xbox as a DEDICATED server to connect too using game pass on console and pc. Then I was able to have a second pc to be a DEDICATED SERVER and connected that way.. (only way to play)

I know previously in ASE you could either have a PLAYER-DEDICATED or NON-PLAYER DEDICATED. I realize the non player dedicated doesn't have tethering but the player dedicated does.

my question is.

If I have xbox game pass ultimate and ASA comes to game pass can I just use my Xbox series X/S to host a dedicated server like we could on ASE and then connect from my pc/steam account? Would there be an option to use the console for a NON-PLAYER DEDICATED option or will they force us to make a PLAYER DEDICATED server which will have tethers???

Since there was an obvious back door deal to force our hand out of dedicated servers we should at least have this option through the Xbox console.

Bought it on steam and use a server manager to run a dedicated server so I never looked into an answer to this.

This is really confusing...

1.) WildCard walked back SteamDRM for dedicated servers last week.
2.) Dedicated servers don't have tethering...
3.) No one knows anything about how Xbox will work. We have 0 information about ASA on Xbox.

I imagine it will be like ASE but the question at hand is that ASE wasn't able to cross-play with steam account. But it would be nice to see Xbox and steam cross-play.

They already confirmed ASA will be full crossplay.

Im hoping they add this for xbox, i hate playing on the official and non official servers. The pve servers are always hogged and the pvp servers are full of bullies.

It would be nice to host a server on xbox with the option of mods.
