Questions about crops

Do you get more crops/do they grow faster if theyre in larger crop plots? If so, is it more resource efficient to build larger crop plots rather than more small ones? After using the iguanadons ability to turn berries into seeds, i have a lot of seeds, and was wanting to make a big farm with the new water system.

also im big upset about not being able to craft a lasso but thats not for this discussion.

Bigger plots hold more water, and you can only plant species X in the big plots.
There is no difference in growth speed. They all seem to have 10 slots for crops and fertilizer so they should store the same amount total.

I like to do a 3x3 of big plots with the middle one being a water tap instead of a plot. It irrigates the 8 plots around it and looks nice to me, but I should try the smaller ones one of these days.

Oh, crops can only fit in medium and large. Only berries in small afaik.
