You will not be able to connect
You could always setup private servers. The Nitrado announcement was for limiting people to hosting 1 dedicated server per steam account. Im not sure how there's so much misinformation on that as it was crystal clear on their website. Probably some loser YouTube channel.
They've since reverted that and you can host as many servers as you like, just like ASE.
This is incorrect. You can meanwhile host private servers and you are perfectly able to connect. Even on Linux and on a VPS in a cloud. I'm playing on mine hosted on Linux just right now. Without any connection to my Steam account.
Thanks for clearing that up. Yeh there seems to be a lot of misinformation. I was told by a friend but I'll have to correct him.
Cheers.
Can you see the server in the unofficial list? Search by keywords since you will likely have issues with the browser and Steam favorites.
Azure may not be able to host Ark servers depending on how Microsoft handles their firewall settings for outbound traffic.
From some quick research on Azure for ASE, seems like it does not work; likely by Microsoft's design. Good luck getting any type of support because Microsoft will say it's a WildCard issue and WildCard will both not get back to you and say it's an Azure configuration issue.
Best of luck.
