--> DifficultyOffset=XX --> change XX to just 1
Next, add follwing line, doesnt matter where, just somewhere also in the topic ServerSettings
OverrideOfficialDifficulty=6
i set the XX on 15, the number u put there multiply with 30, thats the max dino level and with 15 it is 450, with 6 it is 180
Steam\steamapps\common\ARK Survival Ascended\ShooterGame\Saved\Config\Windows
OverrideOfficialDifficulty=20
Thats spawns max 300 BUT youll more than likely see levels between 20 & 280 average unless really lucky...
Yes, just put the override in and save. Start game, then in console Destroywilddinos to destroy the current dinos so the new levels can spawn.
So after doing that will i still see low level dinos most of the time which is fine by me as long as i know that i have a chance at finding a 180.
that sound cool but i mainly want the cap to be at 180. Is the OverrideOfficialDifficulty what makes the cap go past 150. I really don't have a clue on what the DifficultyOffset and the OverrideOfficialDifficulty do?
so besides from the settings in the folder do i need to do anything specific when it comes to the in-game settings when your creating your world and stuff?
they should range with this setting from level 10 to 180, in 5 level steps.
The only thing i forgot to mention ist the wild dino wipe, which margalus added.
that means, open ingame the console, idk for you, for me it is the button left of number 1 button, you can check in keybind settings which button opens the console.
Once in console just type:
cheat destroywilddinos
and hit enter.
Yes, with the word cheat, a spacebar, and the destroywilddinos following in 1 sentence.
this will erase all existing wild dinos and makes the new ones respawn with correct levels
No matter what I've tried, after dino wipes, I still can't get my max wild level dinos to 180.
I know this, because wild dinos should spawn with levels at a factor of 6, ie 6, 12, 60, 180 etc...
Yes, it works just fine.
Thus far, has not worked for me. The highest level ANYTHING I've seen is a 135.
