How to raise the max dino level to 180
just for starters i have no experience with dealing with settings that involve the game files or what not. So just like some players I'm trying to have my dinos in my singleplayer world be lvl 180 cause that's what I'm use to and would prefer. I've seen mods in the in-game mod part but so far I'm just having way to much trouble trying to figure out there guide to having them change the level. I was wondering if there was another way to change the max dino lvl with simple directions cause i'm very slow when it comes to mods and dealing with setting other than the one's in game. Any help would be very appreciated.

Go in GameUserSettings.ini --> Topic ServerSettings
--> DifficultyOffset=XX --> change XX to just 1

Next, add follwing line, doesnt matter where, just somewhere also in the topic ServerSettings

OverrideOfficialDifficulty=6

i set the XX on 15, the number u put there multiply with 30, thats the max dino level and with 15 it is 450, with 6 it is 180

I followed the steps to get to the server settings and i see the difficultyOffset for me it doesn't show the XX it shows this DifficultyOffset=1. So since its at 1 already do i just put in the OverrideOfficialDifficulty=6 under the ServerSettings now?

DifficultyOffset=5
OverrideOfficialDifficulty=20

Thats spawns max 300 BUT youll more than likely see levels between 20 & 280 average unless really lucky...

Yes, just put the override in and save. Start game, then in console Destroywilddinos to destroy the current dinos so the new levels can spawn.

So after doing that will i still see low level dinos most of the time which is fine by me as long as i know that i have a chance at finding a 180.

that sound cool but i mainly want the cap to be at 180. Is the OverrideOfficialDifficulty what makes the cap go past 150. I really don't have a clue on what the DifficultyOffset and the OverrideOfficialDifficulty do?

Put second difficulty at 15 But personally ours is at 20 & ive seen 1 dino that was above 200 the rest go from 20 to around 190 average...

so besides from the settings in the folder do i need to do anything specific when it comes to the in-game settings when your creating your world and stuff?

In game settings are just personal to how you want the server.. with those id just suggest you mess with them for a few hours till you get it all to your liking. Personally my only gripe in the game is default harvest & plant health.. the rest im ok with bar dino levels

As i said before in first post, If you have "OffsetDifficulty=1" and OverrideOfficialDifficulty=6", your max wild dino level will be exactly 180.
they should range with this setting from level 10 to 180, in 5 level steps.
The only thing i forgot to mention ist the wild dino wipe, which margalus added.
that means, open ingame the console, idk for you, for me it is the button left of number 1 button, you can check in keybind settings which button opens the console.
Once in console just type:
cheat destroywilddinos
and hit enter.
Yes, with the word cheat, a spacebar, and the destroywilddinos following in 1 sentence.
this will erase all existing wild dinos and makes the new ones respawn with correct levels

Hey folks, can anyone confirm that they have successfully gotten this to work?
No matter what I've tried, after dino wipes, I still can't get my max wild level dinos to 180.

I know this, because wild dinos should spawn with levels at a factor of 6, ie 6, 12, 60, 180 etc...

Thus far, has not worked for me. The highest level ANYTHING I've seen is a 135.
