can't harvest stones!

Has anybody else had this problem? Just started playing and for some reason I can't collect any of the stones on the ground. I can't make a pick without a stone, what do I do?

Have you been hitting E on the small stones lying around to pick them up? Not all of them are harvestable but if you just run around the beach spamming E you should pick up a couple in no time

go to the boulders on the beach and look for barnacles, if you harvest them you get stone and probably 10 or so per rock you get with your hands, later on you'll know what the interactive rocks look like but the barnacles are hard to miss

I have done that as it worked in the past but I have grabbed nothing. watched some videos that said the stones I can grab look different but i have tried at every stone different or not and nothing works

I have not seen any barnacles. I am playing on low settings to get the game to run.

i held down E and just ran the shore line, i eventually started picking up stones.

There is much more ground clutter in ASA. This is to make it look more realistic. Unfortunately it also makes it hard to see the few stones you can actually pick up.

What I do is go to a bush you can harvest (this are easy to recognize). Hold E down and leave it pressed. Now move to where those rocks are. If any can be picked up, you will harvest them. Holding E only remains held and harvesting when you use it and it harvests something, so that is why I do the bush first.

Have you resolved this issue? I created a local server logged in and I have the same issue, I can't harvest stones at all.
I can harvest berries etc.. I have played single player Ascended and I can harvest stones fine in that, I'm not sure what the difference is here as I know what stones aren't clutter.
Not sure what it can be but just to put it out there that it is an issue.

i have done that one severial beaches and cand pick any up what to do after that?

Are you on The Center? Map is riddled with whole coastal areas where with no rocks to collect from the ground.

If anyone is still having this problem: go away from where it looks like theres a bunch of rocks and away from beach areas, you'll find them randomly in forest areas more on a silvery looking ground and you will have to spam e cause they dont really show up

I recommend looking in the rocky outcroppings just offshore, there tends to be more pickupable rocks and they are a little more obvious. They will be bigger than the texture rocks but not super big.
