lost all items

Returned to my base after farming metal, lost all my items in my entire base. All cryopod dinos and everything. 20 hours down the drain. I think this is the breaking point for me.

It definitely isn't on the main menu, but that doesn't matter right now. So you are playing modded singleplayer? How many mods? Any chance a modded playthrough on a buggy early access game could be your problem? No way of knowing if its a game bug or a bug created by the mods.

mod seems to be causing dinos to disappear, but have no clue what is causing inventory to vanish. removed mod. also, it is in the main menu. screen where you start your singleplay, mod list, and its in the mod browser first page for me. game breaking mods shouldn't be on the first page of a mod browser in the main menu. and to call this early access when we've had ark for a decade now, kinda silly. just a label to excuse development ineptitude.

Yes it is in the Mod submenu, not the main menu.

i cant imagine trolling steam boards where people are actually having issues with their paid product. do you ever go outside and touch grass?

When mods are updating they auto disable and You lose everything what gain with a mod interaction....

In ASE if you started the game without S+ after using it then all your S+ buildings disappeared.
If you started the game without a stack mod, then all the items that you got with the stack mod enabled disappeared.

I am pretty sure this is the issue.
It is likely that you started the game with the cryo pod mod disabled and a stack mod disabled, so then all the cryo podded dinos disappeared and all the items disappeared.

It can be risky to use mods.

what i did was remove the cryopod mod, and it's fixed the disappearing issues entirely. the mod author finally added a warning that just using their mod will cause dinos to disappear randomly due to the way cryopods are coded currently in the game. as long as you remove them all from the cryopods before installing, you won't run into any issues. as for items disappearing, it seems they were turning invisible in the inventory and this was addressed in a recent patch.

i thought this happened to me once then i realised i had my inventory settings set to only show certain items, all my item were always there.
also ive lost mega amounts of work too, played 80 hours this last week..... ALL GONE ! hell when i was playing evolved one time poof just like that an entire months worth of work all gone ! buying this thing has been nothing but regret, dont get me wrong super fun when it works, not so fun when all that work go bye bye
