Mods Not Installing

I keep trying to install a mod, it starts to install for like 3 seconds, and then automatically says, "cancelling?" anyone have any idea? They were fine all day until today. They are either "invalid" and wont update or I cannot install the new ones. Any help would be appreciated!

seems like the curseforge servers that handle this are down or smth. cause when you start the game and there is a mod that needs an update then you get the message that the server is unreachable

Been having the same issue; I even tried validating files. My question is though, if that's the case with the servers not being updated from the curseforge servers and thus making them unreachable, how come other people who are also got the server, why they allowed into the server?

Update - go to your ASA install directory -> Ark Survival Ascended\ShooterGame\Binaries\Win64\ShooterGame\Mods\personal ID number you'll see Mod folders that contain all the mods delete those then re-install they should work. Hope this helps credit belongs to whoever wrote the original post for the solution

ive got an issue where my mods wont even download, ive checked the mod folder and its not inside. when i click download and it gets to 50% then stops

I feel you, even the advise I had isn't working for me though worked for some others; basically I keep reinstalling them despite me having them :(

i dont even have the mod at all tho so i cant even see it in the mod folder

hello, I have a big problem, I don't understand why no mood is installed on my server, I've watched a lot of videos on how to do it, but I can't find an option, what am I doing wrong
GameUserSettings in serversettings i hawe line ActiveMods=929110
ActiveMapMod=0
in start.bat also hawe -MapModID=929110
mood does not activate my server, what could be the problem, can someone help here

I am having the same issue. Can't install any Mod at all thru the Mod List Menu but if I join a Private server with mods installed the server will "push" the mods to me. However this is not consistent. I may get all the mods from the server or only a portion of them. Also I can get a mod this way but it will show it needs an update the next day and I can't get the update to download either way. I've tried completely clearing my mod folder and adjusting my GameUserSettings.ini file. Can anyone help?

I'm also stuck here... installed 7 mods and played 20h, any new mod is borked.

I even uninstalled a mod I wasn't using and I can't reinstall it.

Funny enough, they are in my mod folder, and they show "out of date" when searched. They are not in my installed mods category in game. Updating them does nothing.

If I delete the mods folder it reinstall the first 6 mods *and the deleted 7th mod ***and the mod i cant seem to install or update*** but these mods still show uninstalled and out of date in game.

I've repeated this with any mod available in game.

When I join modded servers, it works the first time, but if I try to join again later it says "installing Awesome Spyglass", jumps around % repeatedly, and then goes to "No session found!" and I cannot reconnect to it regardless of what I do. Validated files, deleted the mod files, obviously restarted ARK and Steam and the PC, reinstalled the mods, I'm considering reinstalling the game next which is my last resort. Anyone have any idea what is going on here?

im having a similar issue but ive not been able to join a modded server at all it jus sits on connecting to server longest ive waited is 50 mins with no error that pops up ive tried a full reinstall and made no difference at all

The server needs to be restarted as well to update the mods there. Auto manage mods isn't working server side yet so servers have to re-install/re-start as well. Not sure though why some users are able to join, but this is what corrects the problem for me.

Hello, this worked for me:
First they go to the folder where the ark is downloaded, look for the folder where the mods are and delete the folder inside where the mod folders are, once deleted they open the ARK and while inside they go to the mod list, right there they press the tab mod installed and press uninstall all, wait a second and restart the ark, once restarted they install the mod they want (in my case the one from Turkey) and it lets them install without problems to enter the server.
