how do you make giant hatch frames

i know the building has all been changed. and i know how to make the big hatch doors but how do you get just the frame for turrets

Hatchframes are out, but you have many many new ways to mount the Turrets, including sideways and upside down.

I like them for my forge, Argys plop in and drop off and go. Is there an alternative? I don't just want an ugly hole in the ceiling :(

You still have the large hatch frame [ceiling/floor] doors, it's just there are no more empty hatch frames (unlike normal doors they are now all 1 piece)

*edit, if you already have a ceiling piece crafted you can cycle thru the options to see what the new hatchways look like. they are normal ceiling sized, Large sized, and then Quetz/rex sized.
