Don’t “fix” the spawn rates…

Just watched a Nooblets video about his gripe over the spawn rates. I’d like to come here to make the case that we don’t need the changes he recommended.

First of all, it’s about knit-picky as you can get to complain about the dino level on “The Island.” If you’re an Ark player, you’ll know that you need to go to Rag or any other community map for the high levels. That’s Ark on Easy mode. (And you’re welcome to play it when it comes out)

Second, this is a survival game with dinosaurs, NOT a dinosaur game. There is a story to play here. Uncover the mysteries of the Ark and “is that a snake or a log?” Better be prepared!

Third, if you suspect that they sacrificed dino spawn for graphical fidelity, you might be right! If that matters to you so much, please remember that Ark: Survival Evolved is a playable game with less graphics and a hell of a lot more support with mods.

We wanted a more immersive experience. This is what they’ve delivered. I am so happy that the valuable dinosaurs are RARE.

Please don’t push for a change that reverses our game into the bastardization we called Ark: Survival Evolved.

To Nooblets,

Remember that you are a player and a content creator. You play the game, you promote the game.

It is NOT your place to organize a mob with your platform. You are welcome to voice in the community the way I do this, but you’re not special. You don’t deserve to have this game tailored to you and I don’t appreciate the brainwashing you apply to your loyal fans that will impose your will.

This game is a step in the correct direction. It has never been more immersive and requires a fresh approach in order to appreciate it.
Don’t play it like ASE, it’s a new game.

You’ve really embraced the doomer negativity that stirs negativity in your comments section. The more you stir, the more you see, the more you think that way.

This is the classic positive(negative) feedback loop we are used to from Social Media and it is going to take self discipline to mind your impact on OUR community.

Stop posting negative videos for the clicks and do the ethical thing. Your channel got big because you posted guides.

Remember, you’re a guild creator, not a compelling critic.

I mean, do people really want to grind for hours and hours again getting high-level dinos in a remaster that already has less dino spawns to begin with? Sounds like more tedium for the sake of tedium.

If official PvP veterans are okay with it, then i guess it's fine to keep parity with SE.

For private servers, i'm sure there will be a mod for custom dino levels like in ASE.

WildCard definitely needs to fix dino respawning issues like Dead Island though. 3 trips on my raft and all that's left on the entire island is 1 alpha raptor.

But this a new game and a fresh start. A chance to bring Ark back to the glory days of 2016 where power creep hadn’t fully set in.
Personally, i didn’t like tripping on a compy every 3 feet and getting jumped by a level 60 Rex that recently spawned right after I just downed a 150.

I am not ordering him to do anything, I am suggesting he remembers why he was relevant in the first place.
Plus, what he is attempting to mob for is what will turn Ark back into a desperate dash for the highest tier, skipping and devaluating primitive stages.
That is not the game to remaster. The game to remaster is the soul of Ark. It’s is about survival and immersive gameplay.

I am with you and hope they do not cave to influencers who never hosted a server themselves. Some people may be used to higher dino spawn from their mods. but just like ASE; Dino level and spawn rate is an option slider in non-dedicated that you can just copy-paste in the server ini file of your unofficial servers and it dino level scale with the age of official servers so its just a matter of time.

For those who feel it is a downgrade somehow, the dev kit is out, your favorite modders will re bake their mods, just give them time and it will come.

Wildcard / Snail Games have been far from smart or moralistic with some of their business decisions.

However, lets face it, they're damned if they do, damned if they don't.

They could provide a patch that fixes everything or rip up their Nitrado contract tomorrow and it still won't be enough for some people. Most people, like Nooblet, have their minds made up already.

The game was broken as ASE and if you think that power-crept game is what the standard should’ve stayed as, WE firmly disagree with you.

That said, there is obviously something wonky with spawning. There’s no reason it should’ve taken me 4 ingame days just to find ANY Ankylo, let alone one a decent level

Remember Ark with mods? It’s fun! But it should stay there with the mods that break the game.
My argument is to maintain the game as it is RIGHT NOW in its remastered form.

You can easily skip stages by getting the right dinos.
You’re disqualifying yourself from this conversation by appearing to lack enough knowledge about how a too-high spawn rate, high level dinos, and ease of milling through bad dinos can absurdly effect the balance.
