Textures on High are still kinda....bad
I must admit, i dont have great pc, but my ASE was at least looking good and was running good. ASA (obviously) aint running as good....but try putting Textures on High and some dinos like the dodo, dire wolf and megatherium look awful....is there anyway that wildcard would fix that cause...it looks down bad for High Textures.

If your resolution scale is set below 100% then the game is actually rendering the game below your base resolution. So for instance if your resolution is 1080p and you have resolution scale to 75% then you are actually running the game closer to 720p. This often makes textures blurry or muddy. Oh and DLSS also does the same if not properly implemented with image sharpening.

resolution scaling was messed up with the first patch. even if you set the slider to 100, it will still be rendered at like 90%. you can try yourself, but its a bug...

Well, i have all resolution set to max....i just tested it, its literally the High Textures, Epic fixes it but it lowers my fps to 12...which isnt playable for me at that point

Whats your specs? GPU and CPU pretty much decides what settings you can run the game on,would be helpful

My GPU is NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 Ti and CPU is AMD Ryzen 7 4800H with Radeon Graphics, i know, its barely on the minimum reqs, but like, my problem is that dire wolf's head shouldnt be a triangle while Textures (the specific thingy, not overall settings) are being set on High. He literally looks like when on ASE you were just rendering dinos after you started up your save

The game looks better if you have textures AND post-processing on max. I notice some of the models break or look awkward if either of those are lower than epic settings. Your system probably wont be able to run both seeing the specs you posted before if my 3050 can barely do it lol

yeah, figured as much, im playing mostly on high-medium with stuff like foliage and shadows on low, the game looks decent, but the outliars like the wolves and dimorphs looks way too bad :/

so do you think they will eventually fix this? like the thyla and dire bear looking funky, same as the dire wolf, megatherium, etc.

I see no difference between medium, high and low textures, only low and epic textures can load. I don't know if they will fix it. (I have got similiar specs) Is this your problem too?

It's view distance, set it to max and it fixes the dinos faces by not looking blocky.

okay, just for closure for anyone finding this thread, i know what is the issue, cause i even upgraded to high end pc and still had problems like mention earlier. I fixed it with in-game command r.Streaming.PoolSize 0, which coincidentally made every dino with fur and feathers look like it should on max graphical settings + it made my in-game map not blurry. So there is that. :praisesun:
