Is there a way to stop my dinos from killing unconscious creatures?

Whenever i try to tame something, unless i set my creatures to passive, they will kill the other creature even when i successfully down it for taming which is extremely frustrating

You have always had to have any animals with you on passive when trying to tame. Otherwise you kill the target. Once it's unconscious put them back on defensive.

No, we have always had to put our dinos on passive. They aggro to that dino because it and you had conflict.

There's a setting on a dino radial wheel to not target unconscious creatures. I wish there was a whistle for it as it's not easy to access in a hurry. Passive generally works though well though, as people point out.
