Focal chili problem

When I try to cook focal chili I always get haze coloring. I tried it with sparkpowder, wood and thatch as fuel and used the exact number of ingredients.

I think the problem is that it's different than in ASE where you needed coal or sparkpowder for the dyes.

In ASA you only need water and berries for the dyes.

Be sure to include a Waterskin, Water Jar or Canteen with at least 25% water in the Cooking Pot and use Thatch or Angler Gel as the fuel source. If Wood is used as the fuel source, Charcoal will be created during the cooking process and only Dye will be cooked.

Also, you can disable the Auto-craft and then choose to manually craft the chilli now, right?
