removing wires and pipes increases server performance. Old servers were constantly having moderators to roam around destroying hundreds and hundreds of old wires/pipes because it would cause lag on the servers.
Funny thing about new features in a remaster is that of course nobody asked for it. They did it because they wanted to. It's their game. You are free to not use the features.
Also, given time, you will probably be able to run your own server and just turn off pings.
I don't PVP but I am curious how players can abuse the INI? I don't want details just an idea.
I see what you are saying. I do agree that in PVP that could be a problem but I honestly don't know of a good solution either because of the way the game works. Although, I honestly wouldn't do that anyway because of the gorgeous graphics. :)
honestly I think that is a moot topic since the foliage and grass never rendered before players did anywyas. So it was always impossible for players to "HIDE" in the grass from day one without even touching the INI file.
Now with the UE5 updates it might be more of a thing to adress for sure, because the new lush foliage is WAY easier to actually hide inside of since it renders at such a long distance.
