Why the price increase??

Why did the price go up? at launch there was a special $59.35 AUD (RRP $65.95) set to end 2nd November... now I saw snail games has sales across their games and ARK Ascended is now $63 AUD (RRP $70)

I'm not gonna pretend i'm a lawyer or whatever, but I thought you couldn't increase your base price then say it's on sale to around what the previous base price was initially... if not then it's at least bad practice smh...

Hm still the same price for me, Australia does charge more for video games, so your countries laws might be playing a part here.

Also the promotion ends on november first for me, the cheaper price. So it might have ran out in your country.

You know you can easily look at the store page and it tells you this stuff....

Greed, graphics over gameplay, and not having players host their own servers is going to be the death of the game. At that point why not just torrent to enjoy the single player alone? In a strange way greed and restricting player servers is only serving to encourage piracy.

I know this because I'm a pirate myself. I did buy the whole Ark bundle though. Multiple maps with different dinos and buildings and new gameplay mechanics is gameplay over graphics.

When it's graphics, greed and pride over gameplay that's how companies lose their reputation. For some reason AAA devs seem to think greed will make money when in reality you lose it all when you lose your reputation. They only realize that when people put their foot down and go "Enough is enough". That's why EA had to stop lootboxes on Battlefront 2.

They can only get away with what you let them get away with.

Dude you legit just lied lol, first off ASA is more then a graphical remake, they moved it to a new engine and it got many new features, also players can now host their own servers with their own equipment and have been able to since a few days ago

You shouldn't either, you are a legit liar. Yes they updated ark to a new engine but they added much stuff like quality of life they couldn't before, added stuff like baby dinos on the map.

Its not just a graphical remake and anyone who played it knows that, enjoy being a liar.

you claimed it was a graphical remake only, and I pointed that is a flat out lie because it is, ASA is not just a graphical remake.

Also the price change was likely due to the fact the sale ended, you know the sale the game warns you on the store page will end by the given date. Countries gaming laws could also play a apart in this, the op is from Aussie which is notorious for anti video game practices

It's right there for you so see, if your to stupid to realize that thats on you no the dev's.

Dude.....Wildcard disabled the DRM which Nit used to enforce its server monopoly, youtubers, articles etc have mentioned it.

You have since two days ago been able to host all the serves you want with your own hardware. This is common knowledge by this stage

afaik ppl now have 1 (ONE) licence for create own server
one server, not a cluster...
if they didnt change it again

anyway, Nitrado still have monopoly and can anytime shutdown possibility to host your own server on your own machine and force you to host it on their server.
