fell off a cliff and cant seem to find my body

is there a trick to finding them in high grass, i gathered all the bushes with my hand and cleared out the area, i zoomed in super close on map to make sure i was on top of last died spot.. is there a key to highlight your body that i am missing?

Hmm, I thought the default was to have a corpse marker. My game shows where I died. Although I did get camped by a dino and it didn't place a marker at all my death spots.

If you go to the in-game options and go to advanced, there is a "Max last death mark waypoints". This will have the game mark where your body should be. I don't know if you have it on by default. I also don't know if you turning it on would make your corpse marker appear. Either way, I thought i'd let you know.

Frustrating not to find the body, so I hope you can find it.

Hmm, in my game, I can see where my last death is and how many meters i am from it. Just like when you see your tamed dinos off in the distance and it tells you how far away they are.

I wish I could see what is showing up in your game. It's probably not showing up for you because of a bug or something. In my game right now, I can see that 1300 meters away I died an hour ago or so, and that would be where my last corpse was.

Yep lost all my stuff from getting knocked off my Argent an fell. It Marked it on the map but when I got close it removed it and cant find it in the area. I think he fell through the ground.

logged in today and it was there.. could not have missed it last nite so dunno what is up with that.. might be operator error or a bug.. /shrug

Maybe your body got eaten by wild Dinos and there isnonly a small brown bag left wirh your belongings in it. Those bags are sometimes hard to spot.

They need to re-implement the death sky beam thing. The small marker disappears when you get near and if it is dark or a lot of foliage it is almost impossible to see the bag or your body.

Double tap "M" left click "Last Death" or one just before that.

After being forced to move slowly after harvesting metal, I was killed by a dino, heading back to my raft. I did install my bed on my raft, so I respawned close to where I was killed.

However, I was struggling to even find my old body, which had my first set of Chitin armor, and metal axe and pick, as well as 100 metal. So after I turned off non-harvestable objects, I was able to find the body. However I couldn't do anything with it. I couldn't hit it with anything, drag it anywhere, and obviously couldn't get my inventory.

Weird thing was that I while still couldn't interact with my old body, since I had enabled EnemyInVisible as well, the same dino that had killed me came over to where I was, grabbed my old body and ate it, and THEN I was able to interact with the inventory bag and reclaim my stuff.

I'd never had found it if I hadn't turned off non-harvestable objects..
