Anyone know the sweet spot for 100% imprints for singleplayer? i can't even get 1 imprint off

Agree, they age up way to fast. Can't get babies imprinted at all.

Any luck here? I've tried with .01 which knocks the cuddle timer down to about 41 seconds with a 20x maturation mutliplier and 33% imprint. That's still too quick. It seems the option in ASE for ImprintMultiplier doesnt work in ASA. The server ignores it. Also the cuddle timer and maturation timer are linked. So if you increase maturation timer to 50, then you have about 10 seconds to imprint for 100%. But you best be quick. And if you lower the maturation multiplier to like 10, then each imprint is only like 9-11% and there's no way to get 100%. If anyone knows good setting for 100% imprint and 1-2 cuddles before the dino matures, please let.me know.

Look directly at the dino and type "SetImprintQuality 1" in the console command.

Bump...just started to breed and noticed that the timer for first imprint interaction seems to longer than what maturation takes. I remember that fiddling with these settings was kind of difficult, as they interact with each other.....sooo, if anyone knows settings that work well, please share!

I was messing around with this also, but realized that changing the settings is just as much a cheat as adding in a mod, so i just modded in a 100% imprint mod for my SP game. Easier for me and gathering the kibbles and rare flowers means it not just a simple fix, i still gotta put in some work.

I've got Singleplayer settings on and am using this:
BabyMatureSpeedMultiplier=5
BabyFoodConsumptionSpeedMultiplier=1
BabyCuddleIntervalMultiplier=0.100000001
BabyImprintAmountMultiplier=3

It takes about 8m to cuddle, raptors take ~ 10m to mature, argies take ~18-20m

Add this in game.ini
BabyImprintAmountMultiplier=100
(as a last line at the bottom or try as a first line if don't work)
Cuddle interval 0.01, maturation speed 35.
First imprint after 47s or so and gives 100%. And they growing up fast 😉

Seriously, one console command takes care of everything. No having to fine tune settings, or wasting time cuddling or w/e

Yeah, my private server with friends and family, we decided this was the way to go. Too many times getting screwed over by cuddle timers, etc. When we first played ASE, there were many a time where we'd set the alarm clock for 3am to wake up and cuddle/feed stupid babies. No more of that crap.

I use that command when the timers prevent me from getting an imprint, like just now when I played with settings and my baby wolf was suddenly mature without any imprint action. But if the timers are set to something that works good for me, I like the extra challenge for imprinting

This! I also like that it takes at least some time for them to mature.
Sadly the standard settings for SP are broken, but after trying around with the settings a little the ones I posted above work like a charm for all dinos that I want imprints on. It does not give you imprints on Dodos and Dilos, but I honestly couldn't care less. If you want imprints on all dinos just set BabyCuddleIntervalMultiplier=0.05. That will make a 4m timer that will enable you to imprint on all dinos.

I'd use that console command before I'd fiddle with vanilla breeding, that's for sure.

Dino breeding in ARK is overall interesting and enjoyable but it's also packed with mindless tedium between babysitting lengthy tames and breeding itself.

After playing modded ASE and being freed from the tyranny of mindless tedium with breeding and managing eggs with mods, I can't face the thought of doing it again in ASA.

It's not like this is a new game. It's the same game with a face lift. No reason to actually go back to the caves after 7 years.

There are already many fine mods showing up. Keep up the good work folks.

The only way I have found to do this accurately was using a program called Beacon Server Manager, it helps with customizing server settings but specifically you can put in the timers you want and it can auto calculate the appropriate Imprint period to be able to get at least 1 imprint on all dinos.
