As of June 30, 2023, unrestricted cash was $3.0 million versus $12.9 million as of December 31, 2022.
Hence this remaster being a paid update to the existing game, they broke.
Well that's the point which I had made too but the actual point is that they are broke, without this there would actually be no Snail games as they would likely be forced to file bankruptcy.
It sucks and it's like I said previously too, just imagine how awesome this game could have been if money was prioritized towards development of the game its self. There likely be little to no complains and a huge following, huge sales... Instead I feel that they have just shot themselves in the foot. Zero hope for this game and zero hope for Ark2 being anything other than a reskin of this with some small combat changes and other tweaks. Rip Ark, was good times while it lasted.
but sadly, as you said, they shot themselves and there is zero hope for ASA nor even Ark2 :/
the only hope is that Snail and WC goes broke and someone will buy this IP
yeah, people said that about survival evolved too, especially around launch, it went on to consistently have about 65k~ players online at any one time via steam, hell, it STILL is holding spot 23 on steamDB with 25k online, and that's after the launch of the new game!
ASA will do the same, there is no way people are going to stop playing a better version of ark with free dlc's if they didn't stop playing the old one, and the numbers say they did not stop playing the old one.
THIS exactly this what you are saying about ASA.. were saying ppl about Atlas :D
