Even if it's a 'reskin of ASE' what's the issue?

I've seen SO many people complaining about how the game is just the old game with better graphics. First of all, it's not, there are PLENTY of new features and the game is only in it's very early stages of development. Plus the graphics are a MAJOR upgrade to ASE even on medium settings. The game still has a lot of work to do, and from what we've seen wildcard are attempting to put in that work. Second of all, the price tag, people complaining about the price are just ridiculous. Considering the previous points, we have concluded the game is not just a 'reskin'. However, let's say theoretically there were no new features and the graphics were the only thing they had changed it still wouldn't be as bad as other companies/games. Games such as COD and Fifa have new releases every year at nearly double or at least 1.5x the price point. This is the first 'reskin' of a game ARK has had in nearly 8 years. Furthermore, games such as Valorant sell weapon skins at extraordinary price points, if you're looking to buy a good skin in that game, for only 1 weapon, you are looking at AT LEAST £18 and up to £45 for melee skins. I would much rather this game over 2 skins in another game. People need to take perspective and realise the game needs time, and comparatively, the game is not in that bad of a situation. I don't have some super computer either, my game runs at about 40-60 fps on average/medium settings.
Just grow up and realise if you don't like the game. Don't. Buy. It. And if you do want the game then wait for it to be in a better state. There is no point crying about it on discussions or Reddit. Just toxicity for the sake of it.

No issues? Are you daft? There are a TON of issues affecting different players in different ways. Even all the bugs they had in ASE's early access is there as well.

It basically means that the game might be optimized to run decent on SOME PC configurations, but not for every PC configuration.

So while you have no issue (even though i belive that to be a big fat lie), others have issues. You're in no position to tell people there aren't any issues with the game when lots of videos on youtube and other websites prove you wrong.

Did you not read what I said. The game needs time, they have already released updates for optimisation and there are going to be more. When you saw the graphics for the game from the trailer did you really expect it to run potatoes well. Go play ASE if you have an issue. If the game isn't in a better state in half a year from now ill bite my words and accept defeat. However you can't just ♥♥♥♥ on a game whilst it's literally been out for a few days.

It will be optimized incrementally. If you can't handle the heat of an EA title, then don't come here huffing and puffing. Meanwhile lots of people enjoy "beta testing", so that whiners like you can get their stuff straightened out before you buy it.
Be thankful people buy this in its current state.
Again, there is no issue. It's gonna straighten out in time just like ASE did, for the most part.

ASE never straightened out over time. Plenty of bugs from early access are still there, because guess what? Yeah, that's right, that's because they listened to people like you and the other guy. The people who defend the devs no matter what they do, no matter how they do it.

Can't handle the heat of an EA title? I played ASE since it launched in EA you schmuck. I have other EA titles i'm enjoying as well in my library, and i've also been a game tester for well over 20 years now. So don't come here trying to lecture me about game development and quality.

The point is Ark's game engine is 8 years old and now limited in what it can do. I'm really enjoying the new game engine, numerous QoL features, cross-platform modding support - and mods are already available some of which are things I liked to add to Ark - and they're available via the built-in Curseforge mod browser. Split screen mode is coming, there's the redesigned user interfaces, dynamic navigation for intelligent creature pathfinding, photo mode, new camera systems, a new map system and tracking system. Next there's the new gameplay items, structures and changes to existing items and creatures. All the DLC people owned in Ark will eventually be available for free in this version of the game...

That's the question I've been having as well, like people have never bought remakes/remasters before or something. I'm thoroughly enjoying the experience despite the annoying crashes, because at least when it crashes it takes at most 15 seconds to be back in playing.

I've also managed to get my 5700xt, a card barely above minimum requirements, playing the game at 40 fps with clouds or 60 without, and at the settings I'm using it looks WORLDS better than ASE at the same level of performance. Frankly having set the game to epic to get some screenshots, (and getting shockingly high 10-15 fps), it makes me want to upgrade to be able to play even half way to that setting cause damn it looks great.

They HAVE put in the work. Just finished a 3 hour session on a rock solid stable private server at 1080p 45-60 fps on a 2060. Not a single crash. Only one corpse of twenty inaccessible. Medium quality gfx.

Pretty sure the complaints are over the bugs not the game. Obviously i'm not referring to everyone, but generally speaking. Reading the Steam reviews for a couple minutes and you can see that the bugs are really frustrating people.
