tamed dinos and friendly fire
was harvesting some meat to feed dinos and hide for crafting. surprised by the (you) killed (tamed dino) notification. apparently you can accidently kill your own dinos if they fallow to close. please fix. something from ark 1 was the ability the accidently hit your own dinos without killing them.

I mean... if you are playing solo, there is literally an option in the settings to disable Friendly Fire.

If you are playing on an Official Server from Nitrado, Friendly Fire is turned on for a reason.

Also, you can adjust the follow distance of a tamed dino in the dino settings wheel. Try it.

Its in the settings when you are setting up the solo game server. Check the settings. It's there. It's something like "Allow Friendly Fire <True/False>" or whatever.

Look at all your settings.

We just did this on ark ascended. Will confirm; as my son is battling in ark and unable to provide info, he was in a setting where there were engrams- I haven’t seen this in all my searches (lol) in Rules we overlooked, scroll and turn friendly fire off.

Currently this is the only way breeders can kill excess babies. By default unclaimed babies are unkillable (which sucks). It's so bad that modders had to create dino death potions. Cmon devs, do better.

That is normal in PvE.

I´m playing on a private server and was breeding a giga. His stats wasen´t good, so i killed him and immediatly, the male giga attacks my pelagornis killing it and my fresh tamed lichen megatherium 269 wanted to defend the pelagornis diying in the process. Why did the Giga attack the pelagornis?

Someone posted a while back that gigas now rage as a group.
They showed in a test that if one giga dies, all nearby gigas will rage.

Whether or not it's intentional isn't entirely clear to my knowledge, but be mindful of it.

The same happened with another DIno that wasen´t a giga, so i´m wondering...
