Crashing every 10 min

I literally bought the best computer I can get today with the best graphics card. It still crashes and settings have been lowered. This is a joke. I'm also just playing on single player.

How about instead of giving vague information you go to the top of Steam and click Help -> System Information and paste everything here on the thread instead?

Yeah the optmisation is terrible, they should never have released it in this state. I'm really tempted to refund it.

Sometimes restarting steam ( completely, look on the right bottom of the taskbar ) then relaunching steam / ARK. I had kernal crashes but after restarting steam it stopped. Just be sure to save often. This is what, day 3 of ASA? There will be bugs. My taming tracker can't update and my " last Death " won't go away. It'll get addressed eventually.

I had an issue like this also. I was playing in 4k i lowered to 1080 and have not had a crash since so check your res and see if it helps.

Might work for you but I play on 1080 & still crash often.

it happends even for streamer that have pc from nasa xD
but for now you gotta used to it

I've seen an awful lot of folks trying to run this game with parts in their PC well below the minimum specs, complaining about lag, terrible frames and crashing.
Until you can provide me with what I asked for I have to assume you're another one of those people and I cannot help you.

I think it's the frame generation under RTX that is causing the crashes. I had that enabled before and kept crashing every 10-15 minutes. Sometimes every 5 minutes. I disabled frame generation and haven't crashed but I don't get 60fps with it off. On a 4070 Ti 12GB I'm getting about 40-50fps with frame generation off on Epic settings. You can use DLSS but turn frame generation off and see if that helps you. I have DLSS on Quality and graphics on Epic but I had to disable Frame Generation because that was crashing me like I said. Problem with it off is that I can't play Epic at 60+ FPS and have to settle with 40-50FPS to get all the eye-candy. If they can fix Frame Generation to be more stable without CTDing the game then I could play with all the eye candy and stable 60fps. I don't wanna lower graphics down to high or medium to play at a higher frame rate. 40-50 feels okayish.

Can confirm this. For me Frame Gen ist the reason of 99% of my crashes.
I do not crash with it turned off.
I REALLY hope the fix this tho.

I get constant crashing. Frame Gen has been off the entire time.

Have 10 hours in the game 0 crashes. So many of the crashes could be from your PC itself either being drivers, hardware, anti virus software and so on. Yes the game has it's issues but if there's thousands not having issues then you might want to check your pc settings.

Damnnn, I hope the devs fix this ASAP. Frame Generation has been fantastic on the games I have tried it, giving great fps boost. Hope the new Ark can take advantage of FG to at some point without all the crashing people are reporting.

I will probably pick this up once the crashing gets smoothed out.
