Even on a 4090/13900k it's terrible

Color me unimpressed. Definitely not even remotely worth the trouble. It's identical to the first game (at least early on) but runs like garbage. I thought maybe I'd stick it out until they worked out the kinks for the visual glory, but it's mediocre at best. Even factoring frame rate out of the equation and just cranking it up to Epic, just to see where it could end up down the road...it still looks meh.

I'll go a step a further - UE5 so far has been a complete flop as far as I'm concerned and nowhere near ready for prime time.

No different than the Original, wait for optimizations in a few months or so. Though for the original it took 2-3 years.

Weird I was getting 140 FPS with frame Gen and HDR on the Oled looked incredible...

Im still thinking about returning though since they got greedy and screwed over the server owners!

So i have a 4090 and the game runs good, around 100 fps on max, DLSS Q FG 1440p Singleplayer. In 4k its ~67 fps, sure could be better, but the graphic is extremely good.

Weird, I have 4090 too and literally only get ~40fps on max 1440 with DLSS + FG.

I didn't try singleplayer... but at 3440x1440 DLAA + FG + everything Epic I would get more fps than you, arround 55-60. With DLSS Q + FG I'm often in the 75-100 fps which feels very comfortable.

What's your GPU % usage ? mine isn't even fully utilized... yours could be quite lower than mine which is often around 90%

12900k 4080, 1440p, getting 120-150fps everywhere. This is even without the r.volumetriccloud 0 command. If I use that command, my frames are 150-180.

It's been an awesome experience for me and my friends so far. We're having a blast.

So strange. This game seems to give everyone very mixed results but ill keep trying to figure out why my 4090 is performing so bad compared to others

According to the nvidia overlay its usually at 99% but the temp doesnt get past 50C.
Then again the NVIDIA overlay doesnt even detect how many fps im getting it just says N/A

Oh, I tried HDR on my QD-OLED, and at first it looked great, but then it would break Lumen badly, performance would drop significantly and even frame gen was messing up part of the image to the point I would stop using it.

Then disable HDR and Wow suddenly all these problem left !
I'm curios to know if you noticed these problem in HDR, because I love HDR on my monitor.

On Geforce now, with 4080, it about 100 FPS with 2k resolution. (Epic settings, DLSS ballanced)

No fps drop or simliar. i played about 3 hour and no freeze.

Okay, decided to try MSI afterburner overlay instead and yes 4090 13900k on 1440p all epic settings its ~100 fps. (With DLSS Quality + FG) turns out the ingame "Stat FPS" command sucks.
I'm guessing that shows the fps before all the DLSS + FG as that was saying 40fps.

Worrying about my card being worse than all others is over phew

they have never patched real optimizations. the hardware is just more powerfull

No turn off volumetric clouds and watch it hit 190 fps lol.
