If they didn't want this, they wouldn't release the server app ID publicly on steam, like they didn't with the Xbox version.

Just... wow.
Claiming an exclusivity deal so they can charge what they want for hosting and no one can compete, then claiming everyone who doesn't think this is good is just greedy?
Nitrado were absolute garbage when I hosted with them, that's why I don't like them, they were WAY over priced but for Xbox it was my only option. When they had server outages for 24+ hours we never got refunded the time, but they still wanted the bill paid on time.
Honestly the more I hear about ASA the more I'm glad I haven't bought it.
Its worse than that as they clearly (rather arrogantly) said that if they hadn't given the 4million loan to Snail, there would be no ASA and pointing out how Snail wasn't paying their server hosting bills. (Basically the boss was making it clear to the employees at Nitrado that Snail was in trouble).
But the boss's attitude that people who criticized the whole exclusivity debacle were either disgruntled ex-Nitrado partners, or people who were getting paid through programs by other hosting services as either youtubers or big server communities etc.
So the boss was insulting snail-wildcard, insulting anyone not a nitrado partner who complained, and in many ways employees as if they cant figure out whats been going on (it made the pep talk paragraph at the end ring even more hollow because of all that).
Just bad.
heck it is not Nitrado fail that they wanna their money and that they get offered that exclusivity deal.
i dont like Nitrado, because quality of their services.. but yes, they should get money what Snail owe them.
Of course Nitado took serious advantage of the situation due to the leverage they were able to impose and of course Snail Games having self inflicted their fiscal accountability issues was why it came to happen. But the boss in the memo also rather candidly spelled out just how bad that was in a rather over confident manner isn't good optics.
And then said boss made it worse by their attempting to make employees believe (like that couldn't see things for themselves and why their concerns were being made and prompted the memo) the only people in complaint were just simply greedy non Nitrado partnered influencers and owners of large server communities on other hosted platforms(not exactly a way to wisely endear themselves to potential future customers either now...) is all a bit disingenuous at best and intentional disinformation on his part(and ironic since he claimed most things were disinformation being spread otherwise by said influencers or the like).
You said it yourself that you disliked Nitrado and their services which it doesnt take much to see how that memo reflects why on some levels their serivices are as they are.
But also obviously, that memo being made public was by an employee(s) that still after receiving that memo felt that there was something wrong with it enough to warrant making it public too...
it was Snail / WC who offer it
i will blame them.. you cant blame ppl that they accept offer in bussines and get their money from side what owe them money.
like seriously.. not even you
try it again, please
it was Snail / WC who make that offer, they did it... not a Nitrado... Snail / WC did it.
Nitrado sux, but seriously, it was Snail / WC who did this...
it was Snail / WC who didnt pay for services what they are using, it is Snail / WC who owe money, it was Snail / WC who come with this offer...
doesnt matter that nobody like Nitrado... they are right in this case, blame Snail / WC
Doesnt mean other comercial Hosters are allowed to host ASA....
Sorry what are you on about? I clearly stated Nitrado leveraged Snail's fiscal accountability challenges that Snail self inflicted upon themselves.
Also rather irrelevant with your going on about who approached whom, but would be really lovely for you to cite specific evidence concerning who did the approaching to whom. All evidence we've had since august is simply that there was an agreement made and filed with the SEC. That would be really great to show then to others who may wish to know.
Well...
It certainly mattered enough for you to mention it right?
Again Snail's having fiscal accountability issues has been known for a while now but at the same time, Nitrado's practices and the way they make decisions be it with the contentions around the agreement, services provided that even you yourself cited, or the manner by which the boss sent that memo to employees isnt a feather in their cap either.
Two bad optics, essentially.
it was Snail / WC who make that offer, they did it... not a Nitrado... Snail / WC did it.
doesnt matter that nobody like Nitrado... they are right in this case, blame Snail / WC

It is correct that they were in arrears from March to June this year on their server renting for official servers from Nitrado. (outlined in the SEC filing from August https://investor.snail.com/node/7086/html ). Again not in dispute as has been mentioned by me and others now for months.
But I asked you if you were able to provide some specific source for -who approached whom- with the deal that was outlined in the SEC filing by Snail in August. Should we the readers assume then that you are unable to provide such information? That's a shame....
I recognize that you're perhaps having difficulty understanding that there are points being expressed that represent -both- sides being egregious in their own ways. You're multiple reiterations of the same point are that you believe there is nothing egregious on the side of Nitrado. This is where the contention comes in and why there has been many discussions, gaming news, youtube folks and more who have covered what has transpired.
what you arent able understand on fact that it is Snail / WC fail that they didnt pay for services what they use, it is Snail / WC who owe money, it was Snail / WC who come with this offer...
