and the grass is way too tall in some places, if they make it half the height(the green lush grass) id be very thankful, because it would make it more of a lawn to have gracing dinos in a fence at. If we put babies in that grass, we will never find them again.
Don't get me wrong, it looks great and your points are valid! Being a survivor of the Ark, a being that was designed to not only survive in this environment but to thrive and then ascend I feel like we need more awareness and capability. Being able to sneak around and avoid detection by all creatures would be valid as well. The ghillie suit should enhance that capability as well.
The grass can stay as is but my hope is they modify our perspectives in first person to match our characters. If they do some of the additional things I mentioned that would just be a plus.
there is also a ground clutter density ini config but i'd leave it alone and just use the foliage quality slider on medium
you can't do anything about camera height in FPV other than higher FOV but it stretches past 60-70
Is it annoying? Sure! Do I like it? Absolutely!
I Can agree, it enhance the survival aspect a lot, but the FPS view is really messed up, i really expect to see it adapted to our height. That would stop people to create that weird goblin...
grass.sizeScale X (1 is default, i use 0.5, makes it perfect for me, play around with it)
And POV from the chest seems to be a balancing issue. No matter the height of your character, all have equal vision.
