Only Nitrado. And for the egregious price of $32 a month. I hosted ASE with Nitrado at one point. It was terrible.

i was shocked, too. it's just to much. we payed 11€ for ASE with 4netplayers. No way 25€/month with nitrado
It makes sense because this is how the Win 10/console version worked, minus the one license per steam account. No clustering and you needed basically another PC for each server you wanted to run unless you stopped hosting to host another map.

ASA is just an improved SE based off of that version and not the original Steam version. I knew the game felt odd at first and seeing the Nitrado post confirmed a lot of suspicion about ASA.

BUUUT, we can probably expect someone to get SE style hosting at some point. Ark is popular enough to attract some incredibly talented people (shoutout to the devs of ASM). There's already reddit posts on how to achieve easy dedicated server hosting. No one knows about clustering on private servers yet though.

What else are the devs hiding?

I didn't follow this part, is it that the game only serves on Nitrado-owned networks?
We can't host the game ourselves?

Or just no option for a Dedicated Server dl?

Sadly this will likely be the end of what made ARK enjoyable. buying another license and hosting a server with tethering is unplayable. they are destroying the community of private hosts who have kept this game alive for years.

We'll probably see some... illegitimate... types of servers before too long as well. I wouldn't go near such a thing but practices, such as this exclusivity contract, are almost like begging people to not respect the integrity of the game. Who knows, though, maybe they'll backtrack on it or at least loosen up the requirements just enough to keep the majority of people on board with their way of doing things. We shall see.
