I hear that the performance is pretty bad.
On my pc I can run ark survival evolved in 1440p on medium settings with 60 - 90 fps with my RTX 3060 TI and most other big games in 4k on medium settings with a solid 60.

Can I run this on a graphic setting which would make survival ascendent look better than survival evolved? Because there is not much sense im buying a remake which would look worse than the first game because I would need to run it at lower settings in a blurry 1080p

You should be able to run it fine.
A lot of people are having crashing issues, me included.
That unfortunately will be what stops you from playing if anything :(

Drop to 1080p and you'll have a playable experience.

Stick with ARK SE
with Epic setting you can run around with 50+ Dinos at ~50 FPS
ARK SA, you will get ~20 if best and picture will be so blurry it will give you headache.
wait till January. then get ARK SA
bottom line...yes, you can run it but you wont be able to play it.
if your getting 60-90 FPS with ARK SE, you will get 15-20 FPS in ARK SA

I'd say try it and if it doesn't impress you or work then refund it right away and wait for them to fix it (or just skip it at that point).

Or just look at the 42% positive reviews and stay away until/if it improves. That's not a bad plan either.

am running a RTX 3080 with 32g DDR4 and the graphics suck, the game crashes and ive applied for a full refund. BTW am an original ark player from 2015 early release THIS RELEASE IS WORSE. My current build ran ASE on epic settings no problem (Before server shutdowns) at all to give u some perspective

I would say a 3070 will be in the 1080p zone on low preset frankly if you ever want to see 60fps even with dlss on. Unreal Engine 5 is the root cause, not the code.

I was watching a content creator play and he has a 2080Ti vid card and he was getting doggie performance on medium settings and 30FPS. It was also crashing about every hour or two.

Seems to me the game and the servers they run are doggie at best.

3070 rig here, don't even bother. You'll get at most 40-50 fps and have to turn off most of everything that makes the graphics look good anyway.
