Is this Survival Evolved with better graphics or Ark 2?
I see two separate store pages. Obviously it's not the actual Ark 2 that's on Steam but at the same time it does seem like a sequel at first glance? Is this just a remake or remaster of Survival Evolved or what's up? I feel like it has to be just a remake that gives you better graphics and that's that lol. Just a way for greedy companies to line up their pockets with some extra money.

better graphics, gameplay updates and some environmental changes

supposedly, each DLC map (which are all included in the base price) will also come with a brand new creature as they release, and I believe I recall reading somewhere that ASA will also have one brand new story map

This is a remake of Ark nothing more and it had its kneecaps smashed in regarding its server hosting...

What?

I see what they did there. A remaster not a remake, disguised as a remake, they added a few tiny changes and now wanna re-release DLC for even more money.

This is literally just a money grab probably just to lessen the loss of profits when Ark 2 flops.

Not just "probably", they clearly admitted that they need money to male Ark 2 and that is why this cash grab exist. Fans can only hope that they don't mismanage their money from now on.

There's been videos about it such as from nooblets:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CKzhie_25hU

But the skinny of it is that while 80% of Snail's revenue came from Ark, they(and you can see from their portfolio most but not all of that) diverted revenue to cover 20+ other projects including Noiz their marketing firm for Arkade, the failed EV car company and a multitude of already made and at least 2 announced games yet released.

So what you're telling me, in a nutshell is that:

- Ark Survival Ascended exists to fund Ark 2 after they wasted the money we paid to them, for the Survival Evolved product

Craazy. Capitalism has gone too far

This is what prompts capitalism to have gone too far? Not outrageous prices on epipens, not "affordable housing" being out of reach of even some of the middle class, not a tip heavy work environment; it's some Chinese parent company throwing money at a start up car company.

You're quite childish to take what I said and exaggerate like that. Obviously I'm not saying this is the do or die factor in which capitalism has gone too far. I'm contextually stating that to describe the state of affairs with this game franchise, obviously.

Please pick up a book, or go to class.

P.S - Sounds like you got a strife with the real world, maybe you should do something about that instead of projecting it at someone else over the internet?

Better yet, now that I look at it, you lost me at that furry avatar. 🖕😊
