How to change difficulty setting in single player?
Does anyone know how to change the difficulty setting in single player, without having to restart? I can't find it and really don't want to have to start fresh.

You have to do it before you enter your singleplayer world. At the too there’s different menus that change various settings. You just have to find the one that has difficulty on it. Personally, I just ticked the max difficulty one, but if you want to customize, there’s a slider on another option as well if I remember right. Keep in mind all dinos that have already spawned in your world won’t be changed. You can either wipe all wild dinos or kill all dinos in your immediate area.

Yeah I saw that, was hoping I could without having to start over. I know Nooblets did it in his video, but I think he's on a server.

I know how to do all that in ASE. Just couldn't figure it out with ASA's new system. Guess we just gotta wait for those updates.

Thx.

The highest Ptera I've found is a 74 and it flew away when a Pego bit it. Now I can't find it. I can't deal with this and don't wanna have to start over. Dang it!

This needs fixed, IIRC in ASE you could tweak the settings later or was that only in non-dedicated server?. Can your save be switched between single vs. non-dedicated mode safely? I used to play ASE progressive difficulty increase every level. Setup ASA single player and forgot that I prefer flora respawn way down to force traveling rather than turning my back and getting respawn - so either I give up days of work or restart now?!

just set your settings to max or hard or whatever you wanna do and dinowipe, might take 30 mins of gametime/running around for them all to spawn back, that's normal, but that will make each new spawn fit your new settings. if you don't dino wipe, the new ones will still spawn with the new settings but the old ones won't go away until they die. to dino wipe, i think it's still

cheat destroywilddinos

in the console commands

I am quite sure that you can still change your SP setting the same way as you did when you created the game. As long as you don't press delete then you should still be joining your world with the same character and progress.
Though do be aware that I have not tested it myself but watched it on a YT video.

think he was talking about how existing dinos don't update their levels

You can change the difficulty setting if you go into single player go to Game Rules>World> Maximum Difficulty and Difficulty level can be adjusted in that menu.
