For me on medium there is a really bad tree flickering, but on epic the shadows are what flicker, seemingly based on location of the player.

Yeah, this was the reason why I asked refund atm... Game runs fine for me but I can't get used with all this flickering. I could not do anything about this. Also, game feels too colorful.

This Flicker is distracting. Has anybody solved this?

Vram issue, you probably have an Nvidia card

I have an rtx 3080 ti and i run msi afterburner to monitor it. it’s not a vram issue. it’s just global illumination. it only happens with it turned on. medium - epic global illum is when the flickering goes crazy. Low is when it stops because there is no illumination.

I was having this issue after playing with my settings, but when I exited and reloaded the game it seemed to solve it mostly. I also seemed to not have a big fps impact between low and high, and I'm on older hardware (rtx 2070 and i7-7700k, 16Gb ram)

theres most likely a memory leak or 10 happening. lots of people have reported it being better after restarting. allso depends on where on the map you are

Yeah, as I typed it, I was thinking a memory leak might be the case as well. Initially I thought it was just a bug with changing the settings, but it is likely a memory leak

4080, 64gb ddr5, i9 12900KF - same issue

I've noticed 4000 series frame generation is actually causing quite a bit of flicker and artifacts, especially on the toolbar. It flickers really bad with frame generation on.
DrunkenOrca Oct 27, 2023 @ 3:52pm
yep, but after last patch whithout frame generation everything shutters.
and it has no effect on gi issue.

7900XTX same issue. It's not a hardware problem. It's a game problem.
