Note: Bugs and Problems
(Please feel free to add to this list!)
Don't get me wrong, it's a great game; I still recommend it, as yes it is "just" a remaster, with new dinos, textures, sounds, and mechanics ;) HOWEVER... These are the problems I've found with ~5 hrs of game-play on all graphics settings!

*a bunch of unexpected crashes if not manually saved every 30 or so (My PC meets & exceeds the recommendations, reserved myself to playing on Medium everything & Single player until patches are out).

* Character model has some stitching errors in the neck region (sometimes headless, sometimes it looks like they've been through a guillotine, and sometimes it has a black stitch line where head model meets body on 50/60/50/50 settings).

*Playing as the shortest character model in 1st person(without short legs, torso, arms, etc) is impossible with foliage heights. There is little to no visibility leading to a /Lot/ of deaths.

*Periodically while running on uneven terrain, or quickly stopping will shift the camera into the player models head, just behind the eyes for a brief moment (almost like a blink).

*The clouds periodically unrender into a almost stipple/"drop" artwork, present when looking into new areas in ALL graphic settings (yes, even epic :steamsad: ).

*When streaming VIA Discord Graphics are over-saturated and have the blinding problem that the Island & Crystal isles have in ARK Survival Evolved has; Comments stated it was "Chinsey" or "Cheap" (Values for player is really good though).

*Favorites list for Servers is a hit or miss, periodically it will load, most times it does not.

*Servers will randomly appear & disappear without warning on the server list, meaning if testing out different dedicated or undedicated servers proves difficult to add to the favorites list.

*Battle music starts randomly, is late, or doesn't appear at all.

*Dragging body, then placing under player will make body go into oblivion (not flying, but nowhere nearby

*if you die when it crashes, almost all progress is lost

*walking into unconscious dinos harms both the dino & you.

*"rally here" marker fails to dismiss, and stays present no matter what

Those are the bugs... so here are some Critiques. They are VERY nit-picky, and likely not changing

* I hate punching Baby dinos to tame them; half the time it kills them. I'd much prefer just having to press E like a passive feed tame. With Compys, they're also starving immediately

* Modify lighting for sunset/sunrise to be a little slower (It's very abrupt almost like the night-mode filter turns on for windows PC)

*Make night a little darker &/ lower the visibility with soft fog. On the beaches I had to look up to see it was night

*Make forests a little brighter in the day; keep current values for night (Hardly able to make anything out in the forest)

*bushes on cliff sides- id like to harvest them so I can have good views, OR see the edge of the cliff

*Better Dino AI (Babies will leave their parents, rock hopping still works to get rid of threats, water dinos will swim vertically (nose up to the sky), etc

*Terrain is almost too uneven to find a building spot

*GPS coords in map is phenomenal, but whats the use of the GPS now?

*Add sleeping animations or "Herding/nesting" areas, like whats hinted in the trailer so the nighttime has an eery feel and the nocturnal dinos have a unique feeling.

*add the light marker to drops when they're stationary please

So, those are my critiques, lets finish this off with some praise!

*You only need to design your character once! The preset settings seem to travel over when switching servers & going into single player/non dedicated

*Easy to tell which dino is the parent of the baby (Little grey heart over the dino, different to the mate bonus heart.)

* The water & it's physics are AMAZING, Ripples when swimming, emerging, and descending into water, swimming dinos of small size have bubble texture around their legs while swimming, the water is murky or clear depending where you are, Cross-waves in rivers during rain but not in normal weather

* Waves fill the entire ocean, and the rivers have tiny rapid waves, bubbles, etc

*The rain CHANGES Direction depending how hard its raining, (Fades in straight down, in the middle it's diagonal, when clearing up its back to straight)

*rain clouds creep over you due to moving textures (Like Sea of Thieves, or Minecraft.)

* The Aurora borealis, moves, changes intensity in visual intensity, as far as disappearing and reappearing

* When attacking in water, droplets emerge around your weapon

*rocks look wet in rain, with water-drops on texture

*Hitting wet sand also has splashes

*Dino textures (Even on LOW it looks like a new game)

*New UI Makes everything so much cleaner (Though, there is a learning curve)

*Death markers are no longer a green pillar, but a measurable ping from you that can be dismissed easily, or seen no matter the distance.

*GPS coords on cursor when using map!

*Character creation is a m a z i n g-- Its like Baldurs Gate 3; but more digestible! It has the muscle groups. 50 is equal to 0, under 50 is "fat", anything higher is muscle.

*You can still make monstrosities easily, or a beautiful character model just as easily.

*New buildings work more than those who just played Ark Survival Evolved will imagine (Sleeping bag looked worse than ASE, but it fits in the terrain WAY better, making it infinitely way prettier)

*Bulky appliances? Not any more! Some of them are way smaller and able to fit almost on one foundation, whereas the old texture would take up 1.5-2 foundations.

*Baby dinos makes the game way more realistic and feel more dense.

The hard-work in this game VISIBLY shows, the team worked until around midnight their time to ensure the game dropped on time as announced, and seeing as its completely overhauled, I am ecstatic that it plays as smooth as it does, yes, there are problems in Servers like stuttering, which isn't as prevalent in single player, it could be Specs, Airflow issues, or just optimization errors (Which is expected of any remaster IMO)
