Game Crash Issues
I'm trying to give this a fair go, I really am. My initial first impressions of the game when I loaded up were pretty positive, graphics are impressive even on medium and it didn't run poorly like so many claimed. Consistently getting above 60fps with a few dips and spikes here and there which I was prepared to accept if everything else was fine.. But then it started.

I'm crashing basically every 15 to 30 minutes after loading into a Single Player game and from the looks of the discussions a lot of people seem to be having the same issue. I have an RTX 3090ti a Ryzen 9 3900x as well as 32GB worth of RAM and a clean install of up to date drivers so specs shouldn't be the issue. The game runs fine and then randomly crashes and I believe thus far it's given me two different crash reports. One saying "fatal error access violation" and the other saying "LowLevelFatalError", tried a few fixes posted on various threads but hasn't changed anything.

One of the crash errors reads as follows and seems to happen whenever I'm coming in or out of the engram menu, do not take that as 100% fact though that's just my guess.

Absolute legend, I can't believe I completely missed that. I was automatically going off ASE rules with constant autosaves.

Issues regarding progress loss has been resolved thanks to the guy above. Crashes are still a very horrendous issue, happening almost instantly whenever I load back into my save file now.

Crashed 45 min into single player, lost everything i built for the last 30 min, thatch hut just gone.

Same exact issue here. Happens mostly when in the engram menu and clicking around in it. Has also happened once while swapping between hotkeyed tools too quickly.

Have received those same two errors.

Latest graphics drivers are installed

3060Ti
32gb RAM
Ryzen 9 5900x
2TB NVME
1440p

Everything in graphics settings on medium and low.

Same here, latest drivers installed, can't see specifically where in the interface it happens.
AMD 7900XTX
Intel i5-12600K
32GB Ram
NVME
1440p

I guess it's likely not a Videocard specific issue since I'm AMD and you're both NVidia.

I've tried moving the verifying game files, moving game to another drive, changing graphic settings from Ultra to High. Nothing has worked so far.

I'm getting similar issues related to entering and leaving the UI too quick when using various types of containers. I think it's a rendering bug - possibly a timing issue with the fading animation.

I am having the same issues as well. Except it usually happens when I enter a structure and then leave it. Even with DLSS turned off and running in only 1080p.

i have been getting this same error, and i've noticed that it has something to do with repeatedly opening the inventory menus. Not shure if it is the same for everyone else but if you keep repeatedly hitting the "I" key for the inventory menu does it make the game crash for others?

i crash mostly when im going into my smithy or engrams as well waiting for this to go away so i can play some more single player :(

I got a 3060RTX and i crash every time i go into like storage menus and only storage menus about 10 times then it crashes

Fixed Render Thread Crash!

This is a fix for the famous "Render Thread" crash, which happens very frequently in some PCs.
It took me 5 days of testing different console commands and almost anything.

You need to launch the game and then face to the ground to avoid crash.
And then type these parameters in the Console:

r.ark.UseFarMaterialOverrides 0
ark.VolumeBoxOptimization 0
ark.VertexCountScaling 1
ark.NoAsyncAssetLoading 1

You need to repeat this every time you launch the game.
It works with all settings in Medium but you can set:
Advanced Graphics to High and
Effects Quality in High

For more FPS use:
r.VolumetricCloud 0

I've tested this extensively with fly mode and hasn't crashed.
My rig is an Intel i5 7400 with a GTX 1070 and 8 GB Ram.
Ask is installed into an M2 SSD.

If you cannot get past character creation screen, launch your game with -dx11 as launch param in order to create your character.
Then restart without any parameter.

The only thing that fixed it for me is this command:

ark.VertexCountScaling 1

This will prevent the crash from happening!
