Good effort, poor execution...a free DLC masquerading as a new game.

The game looks VERY good but 80% of the playerbase won't be able to run it on any respectable settings and no amount of optimization will change that.
Its simply not made for anything but the most recent hardware.

That graphics upgrade aside, not much has changed overall. It's still the exact same game many people here loved and supported, which is not a bad thing at all.
But I and many others like me have already paid full price for the game and every single DLC that released not too long ago, but doing the same again for an update that's primarily just a graphics overhaul is absolutely not worth it now matter how you look at it.

I never feel like companies owe the players much as long as they deliver on what they promised and don't back-step but...really disappointed by the blatant disregard the devs/publishers have showed to the viciously royal customer base that stuck with them through thick and thin.
(referring to all the numerous abandoned projects they launched before this (Atlas/Dak and Light etc) and all the other shady dealings they dont want people to know)

Ark already had paid DLCs before the base game was even close to finishing and now this again, feels like a literal slap in the face of all the players who were with them since early access.

Ark was the first game I ever bought directly from steam and nearly half of my own friend list to this day is from ark. I was planning to hit up some of them after YEARS to maybe try and get back into gaming but there is no way I can justify this.

Such business practices should not be lauded in any shape or form. Even studios that entirely remake the game from bottom up would at least offer some discount for old players but SW has shown just how much they have embraced the faceless corporation identity.

TLDR: Unless you have a high end machine that is not older than last 1-2 generations you will have a rough time.
Its only worth it if you dont already own the base game.

It is human nature for people to defend something they like but please look at this objectively. This isn't about one game, but something countless other studios will use as an example in the future and you do not want that.

NO STUDIO SHOULD EVER BE RELEASING A RELATIVELY MINOR GRAPHICS OVERHAUL AS A BRAND NEW GAME.

Pure greed at play here, no other way to put it.

It works fine. If your 4060 is struggling... you have to return it. Also... its not a cheap hobby... American, Canadian, Mexican, EU.... You still have to invest to win... thats all thats said. Dont be racist about, getting a better income so you can afford better items. 3070 runs just fine... So in theory... the stronger the better right... Just refund and get a new card... Unless ofcourse you cant afford it... and dont have a warrenty on it. Either way... expensive.

You are right and kudos to them for that I should have said not all new content would be free. But the new paid map for example is exclusive. They aren't linked to the official ones so people who buy that DLC won't have an edge over other people in PvP who didn't buy it.

Yea I paid once and I won't buy anything else. That is called a one-time purchase. It is still my option to buy more if I want but it isn't required to get all the maps that came with ASE. This isn't rocket science. Not sure why you are having a hard time understanding it.

There are lots of people saying their 4060 keeps crashing on them and you still think its their gpu fault? Btw, making fun with US is not racism, there is another word for that. Btw, ARK ASA is 4 x times more expensive here where i live. Fact: ITS BAD DEVOLEPMENT FAULT! They lied about wrighting down a new code! It has the exact same bugs from ASE! I cant understand why cant we get along this FACT, we have all seen it with our own eyes!

Still supporting them, sorry. If you thought they weren't going to postpone that is on you. Most gaming companies don't make their deadlines because coding isn't some simple 123 method that you think it is. It is complicated and one simple error can make loads of bugs.

I can see you don't even own the game so what does it matter to you if any DLC's are released on time? You are still going to complain about a game you don't even own.
