Water pipe
Is it just our server, or does anyone know how to get water pipes? We have the stone water intake, stone watertank and where you get your water from. But no pipes

To transfer water you need to put an intake into a water source, then place water tanks at the edge of the blue zone to extend it toward your base. You will need to put as many tanks as is needed to extend the blue zone all the way to your base.

Place taps down anywhere inside a blue zone and they will get water.

My car isn't working!

What's wrong with this scenario? You're in the wrong place and you've given exactly no details.

I use a mod to place down a water intake that supplies water anywhere. I think of it as a water well, and to make it look a bit like a water well I stick a water tank right on top of it. Less muss, no fuss.

So the water tanks collect water right? And they have a range. So doesn't the intake feed them and you just need towers until you get close to your greenhouse?

Yes, the intake feeds water to any water tanks in range, then the water tanks feed water to other water tanks in range, like a daisy chain. I can't be bothered with that faffing about, which is needless work just for the sake of it, so that's why I use a mod.

Water tanks have a pretty big range too. I have a mountain base with no area for intake, and they work great.

The mod doesn't care where you put the intake - it's insta-water. No lame, lazy, pointless intake/water tank game mechanic. They may as well have just implemented something like a water well and have done with the stupid, inelegant workarount they cobbled together.

The water tank don't need to be inside the range of the intake. You can build it really far away from the range of the intake. Just register the blue arrow on top of the tank, when you like to place it. It shows you if there is a connection to the intake or not.

so do we just put the water tank near the crop boxes?

In the future, everything is wireless, even Water. The Water Tanks, are now Wireless Hotspots, linking them easily across the map, when they have an Arrow pointing out of them, they are linked.

Water Taps are now Wireless, linked to your Wireless Hotspot Water Tanks, or Water Intake Pipes.

Water Tanks have a Show Range Button in them, to show how far they go.

Nothing needs to be connected physically, just keep them in range of each other.

Metal/stone intake/tap will not place on anything, don't know why. Object is green for placement but will not attach to anything

Hey guys just letting you know they have a larger range than they say, I currently have an intake feeding a tank thats a solid 20 feet away from the actual radius, just play with it and find a way, I went from the water in the middle of Scortched earth to a pillar, to my base, it works, just weirdly
