How to play split screen?

Can't find anywhere how to start a game in split screen multiplayer.

Since Angry84 is an unhelpful idiot, you can also do remote play together. Only one user needs to own the game. Just the same as the posted answer except invite a friend from your steam friends list to remote play together just like inviting them to join you in any other game. This will also be split-screen but you can do it over the internet.
