Map Shows GPS co-ordinates.

Hello,

I'm hosting a non-dedicated game just for myself and some friends and we'd like to disable the Map Player Location, because it's showing the GPS co-ordinates of our characters on the in game map when we press M. We prefer playing without it, so that the GPS item has a purpose.

How do I disable this? I can't find the option anywhere among the other game settings when making the game. I can find it in Host Admin Menu, and it's set to True but I want to set it to False but I can't change anything there.

So the good news is you can tick the "Show Map Player Location" to "false" by going into your game files through Steam > steamapps >common > ARK Survival Ascended > ShooterGame > Saved > Config > Windows and then opening GameUserSettings.ini.

From there you scroll all the way to the bottom to the Server Info section, from there you can change any setting you want to true to false, or vice versa, inclusing "Show Map Player Location." This will show up as changed in the host admin manager menu UI, however, the map marker and the coordinates will continue to show up. Which is the bad news.

If you can use that information to make the settings change actually reflect within the gameplay or find another way to maybe disable it, please let me know!

Oh. Well thanks anyway. Maybe it'll work in the future, it's day 1 of launch after all. Not a huge issue.
