Screen Freeze on character creation

My screen freezes when i create my character. And then i get this error

LowLevelFatalError [File:E:\ASAContinuous\Engine\Source\Runtime\RenderCore\Private\RenderingThread.cpp] [Line: 1274]
GameThread timed out waiting for RenderThread after 120.00 secs

Does some one have this too?

same. almost instant freeze. only fix ive found it just instantly hitting spawn and not adjusting your character at all.

And if i go fast it crash with same message few seconds after entering in game

don't even have E:\ASAContinuous folder!

I found several player with this problem.
found on proc intel i7 9700 and AMD Ryzen 3 3200G
found on proc AMD Radeaon Vega 8 Graphics and Nvidia 2070 Super
Ram 16Go DDR4 and 32Go DDR4

All have the line 1274 as weel.

People online talk about CPU and GPU's pilote freezing.
Try updating the drivers first
Try closing as much software/video/video services as you can

Please tell if it change something or not, this will help finding other tests and finnaly the solution while wildcard works on a performance patch.

please try also to update your DirectX:
"Some people have advised to force directx 11 at launch like so:
Right-click on the game in your Steam Library.
Select Properties and go to the General tab.
In the box under Launch Options, type “-force-d3d11” (without the quotes)
Close the Properties window."

try adding this in your steam launch option and plkease tel me if it works (game is gonna look ugly but you can restart without the option after you spawned:
-dx11

same issue, i have avarage fps (50) but my game freezes either on spawn on shortly after

I am in the same boat can bypass the char creation only to spawn in and freeze. On single player. Game is currently unplayable for me.

Here are some tips that may work for some of you guys. I fixed the freezing screen on character creation but I still have some other issues to start the game properly I will see what I can do, but so far you can try these simple things to get the game not frozen on character creation.

Force the Game to Run in DirectX 11
This is the one that worked for me, and it doesn’t impact performance as much as the above fix. Make sure the game is closed on Steam, then go through the following steps to force Ark: Survival Ascended to launch using DirectX 11:

Right-click Ark: Survival Ascended in your Steam Library.
Click on “Properties.”
Look for “Launch Options” under the General tab.
Type in “-dx11” without the quotation marks.
Close out of its properties and relaunch the game.

Disable DLSS in Your Settings
Head into your Ark: Survival Ascended graphics settings and hunt down DLSS, then outright turn it off. DLSS is causing a lot of Ark players issues right now. Be sure to turn off frame generation as well, at least for character creation.

For me to run the game I put all settings to "Low". It's not great but still, it can be played even if gets lagged at some point. Another thing that you may have missed the game is not flawless like the older version, because the studio "Wild Card" has no option about that if not published the game they get sued for a lot of money, at that point if we have patience I am sure that they will fix the game.
