Placing structures

There doesn't seem to be an obvious option to change from auto snap to free placement, especially for crafting benches beds storage etc.

Holding "Q" while placing disable the snaping.

It says Q as you are placing it down.. The text is small... I dislike the text size int he game.

if you don't see the 'q' text, you probably have to change your keyboard layout. i play on a french keyboard and i couldn't free snap aswell, had to change to english layout and change all keybindings to play.

i tried to but it didnt't work, i have french keyboard too. Is there a key to change in the settings after you change the layout ?

okay i figure it out, you just need to change the bind "TOGGLE FISTS / FAST INVENTORY (HOLD)" to whatever you want, and you will see the thing to stop the snap point.
