People like you add nothing of importance to conversations. All you're here doing is hardware shaming and bringing others down. You should be banned from discussions.

True that

there are several videos on youtube where people are benchmarking 1060s and up or lower with different settings. I got a 1060 6gb and the game runs super smooth on everything low (i dont need higher graphics to enjoy the game). my only issue is that the game randomly freezes, either instantly or after playing for abit.

Yeah before I upgraded, the presets aren’t that great at “dialing in” for the best perform frames/performance

I was able to get a consistent 40-50 but at the expense of a few graphical settings/command usage that I did not want to disable which made the game feel/look worse than the original game

I believe at this point "next-gen" simply needs as much processing power as you can afford.
The fidelity of this game is incredible! Graphics like this do not come for free unfortunately.

Use console commands youll get 60+ FPS

I have to agree about the game fidelity people will think I’m nuts but I spend 1200 dollars for this game to look fantastic

I guess 3070's fall under the potato category...

If you dont play this game on high/epic the lightning screws up and looks like you're high on mushrooms in the middle of the forest during the day with all the leaves flashing with lights.

My 3070 can hardly get 50-60 at low advanced preset with everything else on high which still screws up lighting because advanced setting is the big control factory they added for "performance fix" in the latest patch..

How about optimize shadows and shading? You turn the shadows off and bam 150+ fps. These shadows are running at like 12000x resolution by the feel of it with how big of a performance hit they have.

At least in other games you can change the shadow resolutions.

Also to put into perspective about GPU's.. 4070ti users are hardly able to run high preset at 1080p without dipping below 60.

So much for performance fixes over the weekend like they promised.

People that already have 4070-4090 rigs beg to differ on costs...

If we are to wait for the 50 series cards then why on earth did they release ASA in this state to begin with?

I miss my voodoo card all the time. I had the one with the TV tuner and the long ass pigtail that had RCA inputs. What a time to be alive :steammocking:

Tbh just going off the of system requirements I don’t expect there to be any kind of miraculous performance fix…. I think there will be minor ones fixing some graphical bugs and some frame rate issues but I believe it’s here to stay just like the original game you either upgrade or be ok with how the game runs/looks

Using the following specs:

i7 13700K GTX 1080 Ti 32GB RAM SSD

I am getting the follow average fps on different presets & resolutions:

Resolution 1920 x 1080
  • Epic: 18 fps
  • High: 20 fps
  • Medium: 25 fps
  • Low: 60 fps

Resolution 3440 x 1440
  • Epic: 10 fps
  • High: 15 fps
  • Medium: 20 fps
  • Low: 35 fps

I am personally waiting for Black Friday to buy a RTX 4070 or 7800 XT.
