Can you load a saved game from ARK Survival Evolved?
I have thousands of hours in ASE and built multiple bases. Is this a UI only upgrade or have features become incompatible.

You'll have to start over, the saves wont be compatible at all.

Even if i could load a game from ASE, i really would not want to. Its a new experience.

it's the same game at its core, but on a totally new engine, so will not be compatable at all.

It's a different SKU, so NO. No you can't. Edit:Unless the devs offer some sort of migration of data. Highly doubt that.

Yes, you can port your saves from Ark: Survival Evolved to Ark: Survival Ascended. Here are the steps you can follow:

Locate your Ark: Survival Evolved save files: In Steam, go to your game library, right-click on your Ark: Survival Evolved game, then select Properties → Local Files, and then click on Browse1. Inside your Ark files, go to the location: /ShooterGame/Saved/SavedArksLocal1.
Backup your save files: Make a copy of the folder for backup2. You will find files with the name TheIsland.ark, which are your last save2.
Prepare the save files for Ark: Survival Ascended: Delete the extra characters after the name, such as _2021.01.01_12.00.00, and leave only TheIsland.ark2. Delete the file with the name TheIsland.tmp, which is a temporary file2.
Upload the save files to Ark: Survival Ascended: Now, you can upload these save files to your Ark: Survival Ascended server1.
Please note that this process might vary depending on the server settings and the version of the game. Always make sure to back up your files before making any changes. If you’re using a server manager, it might have features to help with this process3. If you encounter any issues, you might need to adjust your port forwarding settings4.
