I did; I am very new to PC and am not sure if I need to upgrade things before buying this game.

I would upgrade. You will not enjoy the game as much as you should. That GPU is old. You wanna have a RTX 30 series to be comfortable.

Personally, i3 is not an option for me for gaming. Can I ask why you decided for that CPU?
Dradiin Oct 25, 2023 @ 2:44pm
Other than the ram i would say everything else is below minimum. Not sure you can really upgrade yer PC for that. Might be cheapest to wait till November and buy an Xbox-X and hook yer KB/M and PC monitor to it then play it that way. Cheapest and simplest upgrade, there are numerous searches and videos about buying a 500$ gaming rig also.

It is just what the PC I have came with. i switched from console recently. Not knowing much about PCs and not having tons of money, this was just a starting point for me i guess.

Thank you. Do you think it's time to save up for a new PC entirely or just for a new GPU upgrade?

just do upgrades bit by bit i started with a similar rig, your ram is fine i upgraded my CPU and about to upgrade to a 40 series GPU just take your time with it, get that CPU upgraded and you will see a big difference otherwise you will just bottleneck your GPU

To be very frank, with a i3 and a 1660 is going to be 720p/30 on low settings. Unreal Engine 5 punishes everything, as we've seen on every single UE5 based game thus far.

You guys are aware that his i3 scores higher or SLIGHTLY behind the recommended i5 10600k right?

Yes its a Quad Core with 4 threads, but its also the NEWEST Quad Core, which is WHY it scores higher.

Would a 6 core or 8 core be better OVERALL? sure, but he can EASILY upgrade his CPU if he ever needs to.

TBH a 40 series makes more sense as the game supports Dlss 3.5 and Frame generation.... meaning something like a 4070ti will beat down even a 3090.

pointless with a 1660 still there, need a high end gpu too. Talking like a 3070 baseline for 1080p at a playable level, and a 4070 if you wanna see 60fps.
