BUY ARK 2 TIMES???

So we have to buy early access which is ark ascended then buy it again "ark 2"???? why?

Ark ascended is the remake of ASE. Ark 2 will be a whole different game with other play mechanics (soulslike).

ASA is a remaster of ASE. Ark 2 is a separate product entirely that does not interact with either as far as purchasing goes. ASA is a graphical and engine overhaul rebuilt from top to bottom made in UE5. In no way to you need to buy it to play Ark 2 when that comes out.

Never heard that one before. More like that it was meant to be a free update for everyone who already bought ASE. But they changed that some time ago and straight up told the community they needed the money for ARK2. Also ARA is kind of a "test run" for the new UnrealEngine that will also be used in ARK2.

I've bought ark 4 times, once on my ps4, once for my gf, once for my brother inlaw and last on my PC. if it isn't worth 40 for an engine upgrade for you, then maybe you should stick with the original. It's okay

This is a skip for me. Maybe if they end up with all the content of ASE and the other things that were promised when ASA was announced I might think about buying it on a sale.

New engine I have bought D2 remastered and have original.

The fact I got Ark 1 for 15$ and had 1k hours of fun and now rebuying a better version for another 1k more hours is well worth it to me.
