Why should i pay more then 10$ for this?

So, i played original ark for 4116 hours. I really enjoyed that game, even with thousands of issues and bugs that i faced since 2017, but now we are here. Official servers closed. ASA IS here, with all that fancY trailers and promices. On the other side - devs, that firstly said that everyone, who owns ARK:SE will gets their upgrade to ASA for free. Then, they said " we heard ya, now you will buy ASA for 40$". I dont understand why this graphic patch is so expensive, and why does everyone so happy about it.

Optimisation? Nope, cmon, 3070 recommended, rly? Why not NASA computers then? Its always room for emprovment, nay? ARK: Survival Evolved is still not optimised btw, after how much years of patches?
New content? They grabbed some dinos from mods, they grabbed some dinos from community. A-a-a-and we shall wait (again) for DLC's to be awaliable...
New character customisation. Looking cool on screenshots that i saw, will wait for more info in future.
New "features" (like structures and interface). Again - mods. Just added mods in vanilla game... New interface is looking pretty much like the interface from ARK: SE in 2015.
I still don't understand why does developers can't just upgrade their game with some massive patch. The only feature i think is cool - is cros-platform mods. Good for console players, i rly happy for them. But... Still dont understand what does "premium mods" and "dlc mods" means.

All this news, all this threads today.. making me, as ARK fan, rly, rly sad actually...

UPD: It's so funny to read all responds from the "dont cry/dont buy/etc"-type of gamers here. This is insanity, Vaas told us about this long time ago. Over, over, over and over again this guys is typing the same messages, spitting around... It's not looking like a thread anymore, it's looking like i speaks bad about their own family or something.

Specially i want to note some kind of noncense with arguing guys, that didnt even played ARK, or, for some reason, gets all of their achievements 10.25.23. Really strange and suspicious activity for me.

I never wanted to magnetise that much of toxicity hear, just wanted to argue with people who really do understand that ARK:SE was never optimised, was "closed", trashed, and now ARK fans gotta pay for the same game, just with massive graphics patch and mod-stolen features. No one asked for this. All of ARK fans was exited, when ARK II was anounced. I was exited. So, where is ARK II? Where is the new story? Where is the NEW game? Any news about it seans when? SOMEONE in this thread typed ANYTHING about, as it seems, long-forgotten sequel? Maybe someone really did, and then i am sorry, but looks like this message drowned in all of that angry noices with zero sence here, and i dont really wont to search it here...

"Dont pay / no one cares"... It's sad that these people are here, waisting their time for nothing. I will not pay, tnx for the good adwise that i never needed. Pay, play in this peace of a game, if you want. I guess, i'll just sit down, relax, download ARK: SE again, find non-official server with mods and will play the same game as you do, but without spending even a cent on it.

I am sorry, that i started all this mess in original. I do love ARK, but now - not it's community.

Wanna say huge "Thank you" for those, who really readed my first message, understanded what did i put in to it, and didnt acted like some kind of angry bot here. Really makes me happy that not all of ARK community is ready to eat and pay for everything that devs doing.

- No server costs for years (AGAIN)... new content/dinos/additions to the game... coded new with super good looking graphics... no p2w... no microtransaction like in other mmo games... and many other reasons...
man if you dont respect others work and if you arent willed to pay for it... then dont play it. :)

The fact you don't understand its just a graphic overhaul is hilarious to me... they basically recreated the game in Unreal engine 5 so its a remastered game.... take all the ♥♥♥♥♥♥ things about ASE and assume they fixed them with ASA for $40...

Why is this game worth so much? Upgrading a game from one version of the engine to another is not worth the money. You are not transferring from Source to Unreal Engine.

It is not a graphic patch. It is a graphics overhaul, physics overhaul, and code overhaul. If you have 4k hours in ARK, then I am assuming you loved that game, me too, I am very excited that it is being brought up to date and will continue to be supported. My game library is filled with great games that just aged out or went dark and unsupported. I am sure you can say the same, most of us can. I for one think its dope ARK is going to be around, and when I bought the first one for like 20 bucks on its EA launch day, I got my monies worth with my 2k hours. So throwing down another 40 for the game to be revamped and fine by me.

if you played the original for over 4k hours I think it's safe to say you shouldn't be ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ about the cost because you loved the game support the devs they gave free maps and content at times when they could of charged. I have over 2k hours in ark and ill pay full price for it because I love the game and want to support the devs.

No one recreated the game from scratch, they just translated the version of the engine

bro u dont know how much work that is and how expensive, there is no reason to make this for free after they gave us ark 1 for free
