dedicated servers for self hosting?

are we gonna get dedicated servers for self hosting at all or is this just going to be nitrado only, if so this game despite the good graphics is not worth the buy to begin with, as this is what made the game great and gave it a huge following was the freedom of mods and self hosting of a server to play with friends, if this does not carry over from the old to the new it will fail...

Yes there is. If you put a password on your server, dont forget to select "See servers with passwords" in your Ark Survival Ascended Server list when you're trying to find it

As far as I can tell from the legalease, without qualifying to be partner, you can only host one map. Partner qualifications have high standards like a community with 10,000 plus members. The way I played Ark, this is a deal breaker to me. I will stop exploring the Ark unless we are allowed to host our own clusters.

couldn't see it even if I enabled "See servers with passwords";(
I'm using the same port numbers that are working fine on ASE (7777,27015), but not on ASA...
Will the server be found inside the ASA? Can't see it in Steam's server window?

Not entirely true, Yes you can own a dedicated server and run it yourself.

You can only have 1 server per Steam account and can not have clusters, other rules include no server is allowed over 50 slots or something like that.

If you want to remove some of these rules you will need to purchase a license from Nitrado and you can only buy a license if your community has over 10000 active users.

Do you need to have Steam client installed to run the server??? coz i had to install steam on the server machine, but i still can't see it online!!!!

nitrado crap drm has been cracked, folks of server api did it in few hours

it's unclear however if cluster feature will ever work since it requires specific code path in the servers and it's unclear so far if it will ever work or not.

the war just began: or server admin wins this war and the game will not die or server admins will lose it and the game will die fast.

for those not wanting to waste time, ASE servers, mods, clusters and communities are fully workying :)

When i start mine has an error like this ` !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SPAWNER FAILURE: NPCZoneManagerBlueprint_Land_C_299 had 20 spawn failures in a row @ 0.000000, 0.000000, 0.000000, DISABLING!`
Status is green but says Ticking loop...
Also not showing anywhere.

it's a bit hard people wanting to pay twice the same game just to host a server and join it.

I don't know why, but I can now see the server.
However, I cannot change the MaxPlayer value.
Even if you specify MaxPlayer=20 in the bat file, MaxPlayer will start with 70 people.
Have the same problem?

That used to take a few restarts before kicking in on old ark servers, so might be case here, but yeah had same issue when testing yesterday
