dedicated servers for self hosting?

are we gonna get dedicated servers for self hosting at all or is this just going to be nitrado only, if so this game despite the good graphics is not worth the buy to begin with, as this is what made the game great and gave it a huge following was the freedom of mods and self hosting of a server to play with friends, if this does not carry over from the old to the new it will fail...

I figure you can, the licens check if just to install and start the server, when they are running, a server is just a server, so if you link them up in a cluster it should work

Yes, you can host your own server on your own hardware, but only one pr steam account

So if you only have one account that owns the game, you can only have one map running at once

I know it sucks, they are trying to make clusters exclusive to nitrado, while still keeping the promise that you would be able to host your own

That's the way I'm reading it and why I just refunded the game. Seems like a crappy limitation for no apparent reason outside of greed. Not going to try and talk my friends into giving me their steam information just so I can build a cluster.

From what I am reading it's one server but can run multiple maps which is do to licensing issues and of course snail games being nearly bankrupt.

Seals it for me, single server, no clustering unless you have multiple steam accounts or rent. Balls, was looking forward to a few more hours in Ark. From Nitrado..

99% of settings can be probably used copy&paste from ase.
anyway you are not allowed to run more than 1 map, so no clusters outside ntirado.

Is this a verification from you that this is how it works? Because I am not sure that this would be the case at all.

Hummm let see when it is install.
Seems Weird for not running on another hardware, because authentication is just for downloading via Steamcmd, not for running server :) (it is still the case with ASE)

Installation(downloading from steamCMD) is finish, About 8.7Go in files
